This book was fun, deep, and heartwarming. It touched on real issues of mental health and abuse while keeping the romance enjoyable. I especially liked how supportive the men in her life were. I am a Black woman and I thought this author championed the black female perspective so well. I hardly get to hear that perspective in media so I am grateful. The men are a little macho and traditionalist but not so much that you feel they’re being overly misogynistic. And the book touches on where the men fall short because of their macho behavior so it evens out. An empowering, funny and oh so steamy read. I will definitely be reading from this author again ❤️
