- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wow! This book is a must for someone struggling with ADHD. I have read many books on the subject and they all seem to cover the basics and they all pretty much have the same information in them. After reading them, I felt that they never seemed to cover my chief complaint with ADHD which is a unique way of mind wandering in various life situations. I even spent a lot of money on a special ADHD program which covered the basics too and provided some help with organization but they never could help me with my questions about how I felt I had a different way of thinking compared to others that made it hard to relate and connect with others even though I am a gentle and friendly person. I wanted to know why I seemed to have more intrusive thoughts than my peers. The author really knows what a person with an ADHD brain experiences and also what the people around them do too. While reading the book I felt understood for the first time. Even live therapy did not make me feel that way. The management tips that the author provides are straight to the point and book is not long and boring which is ideal. I plan to listen to it multiple times. Highly recommended. Thank you Ms. Holden!

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Although some of the advice and coping strategies are actually helpful and worth listening to, the general approach the author is taking shows a great deal of unawareness to how it feels to actually be neurodivergent, and the language she uses to describe the symptoms and daily life of a person with ADHD is offensive and disrespectful such as comparing ADHD to "normal people" or "healthy people" in her words is very annoying to me. I am aware of the fact that my brain May function differently which gives me advantages and disadvantages but calling me sick or not normal doesn't really help.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I have listened to a few audiobooks on ADHD and haven’t retained any meaningful advice, but this book gives more strategies in an organized and well-explained way. Definitely the best ADHD book for those who already know the difficulties of ADHD, don’t need the background and just need the tools to better address it.
