- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Something is brewing in Devil’s Beach, FL and it’s going to land someone in a latte of trouble! When lover boy barista “Fab” Fabrizio is found dead by his boss Lana Lewis, she puts her former investigative reporter skills to work to get the scoop on the killer and get them to spill the beans before all she has worked for gets creamed!
I related a lot to Lana Lewis who reminds me a bit of Lois Lane from Superman. I could feel for Lana as she grappled with figuring out who she was now after dreams she had didn’t pan out. Her dad cracks me up. Her new friend/employee sounds like a keeper and I can’t wait to see more develop between Lana and “Hunky Sheriff”.
“Maybe you need to consider the possibility that you’re as good of a coffee shop owner as you were a journalist. It’s okay to be two things in a lifetime, you know. Or more.”
I liked this story and look forward to reading the other two books.
