- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Focus is a quick read with clear and easy to understand tips and suggestions for improving productivity. Many of the ideas contained in the book are well known or common but, the ideas are well organized with examples and catch one will find helpful.
The book is a guide full of practical ideas that will help one improve focus; especially for beginners who want to identify what generally distracts them and how they can create or build focus. In sum, the book in three parts is about: understanding focus, creating an environment for focus and employing tactics to focus. He shares relatable stories from his own distraction and productivity experience.
Focus tackles issues of productivity or lack thereof, from the outside, without ignoring internal factors such as mental fatigue, negative energy, stress, etc. Most people tend to approach distraction from an outside perspective, paying more attention to things like details or schedule, forgetting those little activities like a minute jogging to increase blood flow or meditation to center the mind thus, improve productivity. For the reader, this book will help you keep track of behaviors that are affecting your productive life, both from the internal and external environment that result in distraction.
He uses a simple, practical approach that quickly engages the reader to question “How to improve productivity?”. In doing this, one concept that Fast Focus introduces the reader to is “Voluntary focus” a muscle that gets better with practice and time leading to increased productivity. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5what a wonderful job well done boosts your confidence self esteem makes you stronger mentally to face the challenges holds your attention while you don't end up being curious to know the end all the chapters are g
