About this audiobook
Evie Manieri's mesmerizing debut is the first book in the much anticipated Shattered Kingdoms trilogy. Decades ago, the vicious Norlanders landed on the shores of the Shadar and enslaved the peaceful fisher folk. Now an uprising brews in the city depths - the rebels have even hired the infamous mercenary known as the Mongrel to aid them. But as the battle against the powerful Norlanders nears, the Mongrel's sinister ambitions threaten to doom the Shadar for good.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A subjugated people, the oppressors and a third people on the fence. It all comes to a head when the balance finally starts to topple. Vision inducing elixirs and telekinesis mixed in with a fantasy backdrop. Enjoyable read, and yes I gave it 5 stars as the other reviewer said it would get, lol. Yes, was hard to keep in mind who was who to begin with but then if you just go with the flow it usually becomes clear, and it did.
