Today I am going to be taking you through a self talk script that will focus on forgiveness

I chose to write and to include this script in my latest book “Love Self Talk” because forgiveness is an important aspect of our lives.

At some point in time we have all been either the givers and the receivers of forgiveness.

Forgiveness takes courage and the awareness that we need to improve and that maybe we were not right and giving forgiveness takes strength.

Try and think of forgiveness is a gift that we give to ourselves and to others.

I believe that forgiveness is a powerful tool that can help us heal from emotional pain, let go of grudges, and will enable us to move on from these negative experiences.

It allows us to release anger, resentment, and bitterness and instead, we get to choose to focus on positive emotions such as love, empathy, and kindness.

Forgiveness is not always an easy process, because it requires us to let go of our ego, pride, and need for revenge.

It also means accepting responsibility for our own actions and choosing to see the situation from the other person's perspective.

But the benefits of forgiveness are immense.

It can improve our relationships, reduce stress, and promote overall well-being. In order to practice forgiveness, it is important to start by acknowledging our feelings and expressing them in a healthy way.

We can then try to understand the other person's point of view and find empathy for their situation.

One important fact to mention here is that forgiveness is not a substitute for accountability and for some situations it may also mean that we don’t forget.

Abusive or toxic people do need to be cut out of your life and even if you may choose to forgive them so that you can be set free, it does not mean that you wish to reconcile with that person!

We forgive and we release those negative emotions so that we can move forward with a sense of peace and closure.

This also applies if you have made a mistake, yes you need to forgive yourself so that you can make amends, improve yourself and try your best to not repeat your actions in the future.

Forgiveness is a powerful tool that can bring immense benefits to our lives.

By choosing to forgive, we can let go of negative emotions and focus on positive ones, improving our relationships and overall well-being.
