Description

Everyone has at least one type of food they don’t like, and most people don’t like them because their body doesn’t. Some call it food intolerance; others call it food allergy, but they’re both what we collectively refer to as food reactions. What is a food reaction? How do you test if you’re allergic to food or if you’re sensitive to it? Is there a difference?
In this episode, we describe what a food reaction is and share some of the ways you can test for it. We discuss the difference between food intolerance and allergies, as well as the immunoglobulins associated with them. We explain the right way to conduct food tests for patients and what doctors should avoid doing. We also share some of the ways to interpret test results and what it means for someone who’s allergic or intolerant to a specific food type.
