Description

So, it turns out that nutrition - like many other things - has a long, complex history and there are many things that contribute to optimal nutritional health. So many, in fact, that we forgot to mention some very important factors in our previous episode.
Achieving optimal nutrition is more than eating the right foods, but the real question is - how should practitioners assess the nutritional levels in their patients?
Today, we explore nutrient assessments and the most common nutrients clinicians and medical practitioners assess in patients. We discuss the challenges associated with assessing certain vitamins, minerals, and nutrients and how the NutrEval test can help clinicians determine which nutrients their patients are not absorbing adequately. Product Research and Development Manager and fellow Genovian, Ashley Gibbons, also joins us to discuss the various methodologies we use to test a patient’s nutritional health.

“By looking at those biochemical pathways, we know that the enzymes that are responsible for maintaining those biochemical processes and we know the co-factors for those enzymes.” - Michael Chapman
