Description

The Big 12 has approved of the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners request to exit the conference one year before their TV contracts expire, so in 2024 Texas and Oklahoma will join the Southeastern Conference. With the addition of the Longhorns and Sooners, the SEC will undergo a shakeup in divisions and schedule construction. SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey has expressed his desire to do away with the East and West divisions, so what will SEC schedules look like in 2024 and beyond? What does that mean for LSU? How will LSU's yearly opponents be affected and will some of LSU's greatest traditions be disrupted with this change?
Plus, several LSU Tigers were featured on stage at the NFL Honors on Thursday night, most notably former Tiger Justin Jefferson as he accepted his Offensive Player of the Year hardware. He and Joe Burrow were both NFL MVP finalists. Clyde Edwards-Helaire will represent the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Sunday. On the biggest stages at the highest level of the sport, the 2019 LSU football team is not just represented but has become integral parts of the stories throughout this NFL season.
