Description
I'm not shy about my thoughts and feelings on Intuitive Eating, so when I had the opportunity to sit down with Elyse Resch, author of the book, Intuitive Eating, and founder of the movement, I jumped at the chance. Well, I got really nervous and overwhelmed and then I jumped at the chance… Intuitive Eating is an approach that rejects the diet mentality, embraces listening to our own internal wisdom, and supports keeping all foods “on limits.” As a therapist specializing in a harm reduction food addiction approach, I was quick to discover that while there are many differences in our approaches, there were also so many overlaps. An interesting and much needed conversation with a fellow eating disorder specialist on the other side of the aisle - I can't wait to hear what you think. Elyse Resch is a Nutrition Therapist and author of The Intuitive Eating Workbook for Teens and The Intuitive Eating Journal—Your Guided Journey for Nourishing a Healthy Relationship with Food. She is also co-author of Intuitive Eating, The Intuitive Eating Workbook, and The Intuitive Eating Card Deck—50 Bite-Sized Ways to Make Peace with Food. She specializes in eating disorders, Intuitive Eating, and preventative nutrition. You can find out more and by following Elyse on Instagram or on her website at https://www.elyseresch.com. I’m also obsessed with knowing all about you, so please follow (and DM!) me on Instagram, Facebook and my website. We’re in this together and the journey is going to be so awesome.
