IT'S CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK!
In Brian Kelly's first year, the LSU Tigers are headed to Atlanta to take on Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game. Daniel Monroe of Locked On Bulldogs joins Caroline Fenton of Locked On LSU to break down the perspective of this game from each side and how they predict their teams will fair. The last time these two teams met was in 2019 at the exact same site when LSU dominated the Bulldogs in a 37-10 victory before going on to win the National Championship. But in 2022, these teams look much different. Georgia is the reigning national champion and has remained undefeated all season long. The Bulldogs are coming into this game heavily favored with sites on a back-to-back championship run. For LSU, Brian Kelly went 9-3 in his first season with a berth to Atlanta. While LSU is coming off of a devastating loss at Texas A&M with no shot at the College Football Playoff, the Tigers are still coming in with the toughness we've seen from them all season long and the drive to hoist the SEC Championship trophy on Saturday afternoon.
