Description
When reflecting on her past, Patricia acknowledges that for the first two years of her consulting career, the desire to always come across the right way and to say the right things actually constrained her from contributing to conversations as much as she would have liked. Patricia believes that this habit of biting her tongue stemmed from the fear of rejection, but once she was able to overcome this fear, she has learned to be more of a risk-taker. Ultimately, opening up more opportunities for herself. Patricia is also an advocate for self-awareness and self-knowledge. By being aware that she’s an introvert, Patricia has been able to organize her schedule in a way that’s optimal for her personality. Five years ago, she left her corporate job to become the founder of Silver Lining Psychology where she teaches businesses how to use the science of positive psychology to achieve greater outcomes. Fun fact: she had two wedding ceremonies!About Patricia: Patricia Thompson is an award-winning corporate psychologist, executive coach, and speaker who has been featured in the Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Fast Company, Inc., and many other sites.
