Description

Today we’ve got three guests, Julianne Buck, Holly McFarlin and Neosha Franklin - three Directors, from three different Community Foundations. About Julianne Buck: She is the Executive Director of the community foundation of Grundy County and has been working there for 18 years, since 2003.About Holly McFarlin: She works for the East Texas Communities Foundation, serving 32 counties for 7 years as the Director of Public Relations. About Neosha Franklin: She has been working for St. Louis Community Foundation first as Communications Coordinator, then as Marketing Communications Manager and finally, as Director of Communications.  Key Takeaways:The pandemic did cause a lot of destruction, but it also allowed a lot of innovation to be done. People realized that we aren’t promised forever, we’re living our lives in a short time frame and we have to make an impact while we can. This prevalent realization caused a lot of people to be increasingly generous to nonprofits. If you’re willing to help out your community, be involved with your community by researching any community foundations - there might be some around you that you’re not aware of. Remain resilient and stay positive!  “You have to support your neighbor if you want to be successful in your community ” - Holly McFarlin “You have to influence yourself first. If you want people to respond differently, you have to show up differently. You can’t show up the same and expect a different result.” - Maryanne Dersch Reach out to Julianne Buck at:Twitter: https://twitter.com/buckjulianneWebsite: https://www.cfgrundycounty.com/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/julianne-buck-cap%C2%AE-0169853/ Reach out to Holly McFarlin at:Website: https://etcf.org/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/holly-mcfarlin-a0295b3a/ Reach out to Neosha Franklin at:Twitter: https://twitter.com/iamneosha?Website: https://stlgives.org/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/neoshafranklin/ Be more confident, credible & convincing to your board & supporters without feeling rejected, ineffective, or pushy.Learn to manage your mindset, lead yourself and others more effectively and have the meaningful conversations that drive your most important work. Get your free starter kit today at  www.theinfluentialnonprofit.com
