College Football analyst Chip Patterson from CBS Sports considers Mario Cristobal to be one of the power 5 coaches in the best position to "win big later." He's grouped in that category along with Florida's Billy Napier. To Patterson, Miami is making key additions on and off the field but won't be ready quite yet to compete with Clemson in the ACC. However, he believes Miami will ascend in the near future to that of a true ACC contender. Tyler Van Dyke's dominance at quarterback along with key transfer additions on defense like Mesidor, Agude, and Caleb Johnson should give Miami an immediate boost, but will it be enough to win the conference?
