In this episode, I talk to Aaron Mills, a research scientist at AAFC in Charlottetown, PEI, about malting barley production in the Maritimes. We discuss some of the challenges presented by our Maritime climate, as well as the unique quality parameters looked for in malting barley in comparison to the feed barley we’re more familiar with growing.
