Description

As runners, we‘re feeling a range of different emotions as races are postponed or cancelled. This episode aims to give an insight into what race directors are experiencing, as the events and sporting industries have paused due to CV19.

In episode 13, I spoke to Hugh Brasher, Event Director of London Marathon Events regarding the 40th Virgin Money London Marathon, to get an insight into the challenges that his team and their global partners face, in organising international races in a changing landscape.

In this episode, I speak to Matt Wood a co-founder of Run Through, a popular UK based series of races for varied distances across the U.K. Pre CV19 they held approx. 2 races per week.

I also spoke to Sam Heward co-founder of Ultra X who organise a series of global ultra races in various locations including Mexico, the Azores, Jordan, Sri Lanka, to name a few.

This episode will give further insight from a race directors perspective, in regards to the current climate.
