In this episode, Lindsey is talking with Miss America 2020 and Miss Alabama 2020!
Camille Schrier, the current Miss America, broke from tradition when she demonstrated the catalytic decomposition hydrogen peroxide as her talent on stage during the competition.
Her unique talent and performance and her focus on women in science tech engineering and math has sparked positive reaction for inclusivity in the Miss America program. Camille’s story has been shared with hundreds of children, and viewed by millions, and she is proud to be known as ’the Scientist.’
Tiara Pennington, the current Miss Alabama, is only the second African American winner of Miss Alabama in the history of the competition.
Tiara shares the responsibility she knows she carries as she inspires young women of color. She also talks about her psoriasis advocacy and why this disease affects many more people than some think, and why she feels personally connected.
