Description
On today's podcast we chat to the open water marathon swimmer - Craig Lewin. Known as "The Salty Swimmer" not only does Craig coach swimmers to succeed in marathon swims, he has completed the Triple Crown himself, starting with Catalina, on to Manhattan and finishing with the English Channel, to round out the triple. We chatted about how he prepared for those swims; the type of training needed and the obstacles he encountered and overcame to achieve these feats. We also spoke about critical speed training for endurance swimming. It is something many think they would not need to include, but Craig outlines why it is so important. There are many great takeaways here for all masters swimmers, especially if you are considering an open water marathon swim. You can connect with Craig via his website:https://www.liquidtri.comAnd find him on Instagram:@enduranceswimAnd Facebook:Endurance SwimYou can connect with Torpedo Swimtalk via:https://www.torpedoswimtalk.com/
