Description
On this week's episode of the Propulsion Swimming Podcast, we are joined by the RNLI and Black Swimming Association (BSA).
The RNLI and the Black Swimming Association (BSA) have joined forces with the shared goal of reducing drownings by influencing improved safety on and near the water. By working together they hope to reach as many people as possible of African, Caribbean and Asian heritage in the UK and Ireland, with vital water safety messaging, which has been proven to save lives.
We discuss with Seren Jones (BSA) and James Woodhouse (RNLI) the work to two organisations are doing together to reduce drowning, the summer safety messaging of float to survive, and the research being conducted to disprove the theory that black people have heavy bones and can't float.
