Separate circumstances from happiness - be wary of statements like "when I am_____, then I will be happy"
Minimize influence of toxic people

Do the work on your mental management
Do the work of emotional maturation and learn how to feel your feelings
Do the work of gratitude and learning presence
Do the work of fighting against the 4 C's of Negativity

Focusing your attention and constant redirection / parenting your brain
Create more adventure in your life
