Since Puff Johnson's time in Chapel Hill in March of 2020, the Tar Heels have seen a Hall of Fame Coach retire after an early NCAA tournament exit, and one of his pupils take the reins of the program. June 1 marks the first window after an extended NCAA recruiting "dead period" during the COVID-19 pandemic, and also the first chance for new Tar Heel skipper Hubert Davis to make an in-person pitch to a potential prospect.
