About this ebook

How Israelites Pray to Their ABBA – Do you know the correct way to pray to YAHUAH? Prayer is not just words; it is a sacred act of alignment with His will. In this powerful book, you will discover the biblical foundations of Israelite prayer and why following the instructions given in Scripture ensures that your prayers are heard.

The Bible is clear about the conditions of prayer. Proverbs 28:9 warns, "He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination." Prayer must come from a heart that obeys YAHUAH. Solomon's prayer of dedication for the temple provides a blueprint for how to approach our Father: "Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O YAHUAH my EL, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day" (1 Kings 8:28, KJV).

When Israelites pray, they face Jerusalem—the place where YAHUAH placed His name forever (1 Kings 9:3). This book explains why this act of facing Jerusalem, spreading your hands, and coming with humility mirrors the ancient instructions YAHUAH gave His people.

You'll also learn:

  • How Solomon's prayer defines the proper posture before YAHUAH (1 Kings 8:22–23).
  • Why prayer is a covenant act, not just a request.
  • How the Messiah and the disciples prayed according to the Hebrew way.

This book complements Ancient Hebrew Prayer Principles: Keys to Getting Your Prayers Answered, as well as our book Prayer of a Hebrew Israelite. Guaranteed to give you deeper insight into powerful prayer.

Unknown Hebrew

I write under the name Unknown Hebrew as a devoted member of the Fourth Tribe of Israel, walking daily in faith and obedience to YAHUAH. My journey began within Christian doctrine, but a thirst for deeper truth led me back to the foundation of it all—the Hebrew Israelites. That spiritual homecoming rekindled my purpose: to study, to write, and to live by the ancient paths YAHUAH established for His chosen people. The name Unknown Hebrew reflects my core belief—to turn all attention away from myself and toward the glory of YAHUAH, our ELOHIM. Everything I create is for His purpose: to study and show ourselves approved, to walk in the ways of the Order of Melchizedek, to spread the gospel to Israelites scattered across the earth, and to await with faith the return of our King and High Priest, YAHUSHUA.

HOW ISRAELITES PRAY TO THEIR ABBA

ELOHIM said we are a peculiar people, and therefore He has given us the connectivity, the way to connect to him through prayer. Prayer is communication to our ELOHIM, and once upon a time, we did not have to be so distant that we had to bow and kneel in a particular fashion and face a specific place. It was simply being in the garden, and we can go to the Book of Genesis 3:8, to see an example of that once upon a time. It was a time when our ELOHIM did not require us to go through certain formalities; it was simply a conversation. It reads, ⁸And they heard the voice of YAHUAH walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of YAHUAH amongst the trees of the garden Before that, Adam used to have conversations with ELOHIM; it was as simply speaking back and forth; however, because of sin, we have a massive gap between us and our ELOHIM. In some ways, communication is a little more complicated. We have to go through formalities in order for us to communicate with our King. One day ELOHIM will restore everything, where all we have to do is speak to Him directly, and He will be able to speak to us, as it was in the garden.

Whether you are on the right side or the wrong side, there are formalities; there are ways; protocols in place to communicate. So, prayer is not just a way to communicate, but it can be used as a weapon of war; it can be used even for your salvation. Let us give an example of that. Go to Luke 21:34, which reads, ³⁴ And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Here YAHUSHUA is warning us that we should not be caught up in the environment to the point where we lose our focus and find ourselves losing salvation. Continuing, read Luke 21:35, which reads, ³⁵ For as a snare shall it come upon all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. A snare is something that is designed in stealth mode. It is not something that is in the open.

Ha’Shatan, the hunter knows what he is trying to catch; if he is trying to catch a bird, for example, he will put some breadcrumbs or seeds down. He is going to cover the snare in such a way that the bird is only focused on vanity and desire, their own desire. So much so that it ignores everything else around it, and that is what a snare does. Ha’Shatan will put something in our way that causes us only to see what we desire, and we will not see the trap behind the desire. He says, ³⁵ For a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Now let us read Luke 21:36, which tells us, ³⁶ Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Prayer causes us to escape the snares.

Let us continue; not only is prayer a way of checking ourselves to see if we are approved before ELOHIM, but it is something for us to check out each other as well. Go to 2nd Thessalonians 1:5-6; we will see some examples of praying for one another and doing things together, collectively building strength. It reads, ⁵ Which is a manifest token of the righteousness judgement of YAHUAH, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of YAHUAH, for which ye also suffered: ⁶ Seeing it is a righteous thing with YAHUAH to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you. In the world of turn-the-other-cheek mentality within the Christian church, there are protocols in the nation of Israel, we are just soft and cuddly people. It is to us everything has happened; there is something called payback. It says, ⁶ Seeing it is a righteous thing with ELOHIM... So, those people who trouble us; that is a guarantee, that is also found in the Book of Revelations; it is found throughout the Bible, for the Messiah will reward those, who have ill-treated Israelites.

Moving on, read 2nd Thessalonians 1:7-10, which says, ⁷ And to you who are troubled rest with us, when YAHUSHUA shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, ⁸ In flaming fire taking vengeance taking vengeance on them that know not YAHUAH, and that obeyed not the gospel of our Savior YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH: ⁹ Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of YAHUAH, and from the glory of his power; ¹⁰ When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. Notice it says, ¹⁰ When he shall come to be glorified in his saints... Not the whole world; that is a select few.

We have to go back in the Bible and look for the first mention of the word saint, which is not talking about the Catholic church; or the Baptist denomination. It is speaking about a chosen bloodline people that He will come back for and deliver. This is the theme of Passover, a specific people and for those other people who want to grab on to the skirt, the fringes of a Hebrew that are non-Hebrew. ELOHIM will give them a break also; so long as they obey the commandments, obey the gospel, the good news, which is the Torah (see our books, The Chosen Seed: Predestination and Passover: Mysteries Revealed). Read 2nd Thessalonians 1:11, it says, ¹¹ Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our ELOHIM would count you worthy to this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith with power: It is all about salvation; our prayer is essential to get us in the kingdom.

Now sometimes, we need to learn how to pray. Let us look at an example of needing to learn how to pray. Go to the Book of Luke 11:1; it says, ¹ And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Adonai, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. Notice the protocol John would pray, and he instructed his disciples how to pray. We find that a part of this walk is humility. It is always connected to the bend in the knee, bowing, humbling oneself; before someone else. Recognizing that we need help, some of our people have to learn how to be humble in order to receive a blessing. We see that the disciples were watching the example of YAHUSHUA praying. So, the disciples saw; they knew that John prayed often, and his disciples were instructed in the format of praying. YAHUSHUA came and gave the prayer which we see in Matthew 6:9, ⁹ Our Father, which art in heaven... everyone knows this prayer. This was not the first time this prayer was uttered; this is the prayer of King David.

Prayer is part of our arsenal; our weaponry, it is a sword. Remember when David heard the Philistine Goliath saying all kinds of madness against ELOHIM and his people? David says in 1st Samual 17:26, "²⁶...who is this uncircumcised Philistine (dog) that is going to defy Israel... Note, many Israelites referred to both Gentile and Israelite Gentiles as dogs; the Greek word is kyōn (koo'-ohn) (G2965), we find its use in Matthew 7:6, Luke 16:21, Philippines 3:2. The conversation could have gone something like this; David went to King Saul and said, what is going on here? In short, King Saul said, well, it is a competition. David replied, well put me on the top of the list. I have nothing, but I am not going to stand here, while I am alive and have someone curse my ELOHIM who made me. King Saul turned to David and said, let me give you my armor." David knew that if he did not know how to use the weapons of King Saul, he would be a dead man. We cannot go before ELOHIM in just any old way, nor can we go before the devil or his Lieutenants, called demons, and expect to wage war like David waged war with Goliath and win. We must know how to use our arsenal because we often go and kneel before ELOHIM, and we utter some words, and the words are not right. Remember, prayer is a weapon.

Look at Abraham. Did you know he was a doctor? That is right; our forefather Abraham was a doctor. Let us go to the Book of Genesis 20 and look at one example. When Abraham was
