About this ebook

The Ruach Ha' Kodesh: Sinai & The Breath.

Unlock the Mystery of the Ruach Ha'Kodesh

Discover the transformative events at Mount Sinai in this first volume of the four-part "The Ruach Ha'Kodesh" series. Here, you will not only dive deep into the nature of the Breath—known as the Ruach Ha'Kodesh or Holy Spirit—but also explore its enduring significance for spiritual seekers.

What Really Happened at Mount Sinai?

Was the experience at Mount Sinai over 3,300 years ago merely legend, or was it a true historical event witnessed by millions? In this book, we carefully examine the evidence with a grounded, thoughtful approach—free from blind leaps of faith. Moreover, you will be guided step-by-step through the complex events to form your own understanding.

The Meaning of "Breath" and "Spirit"

First, let us explore the original Hebrew and Greek terms for "Spirit." According to the Blue Letter Bible Dictionary, the Hebrew rûaḥ (H7307) and the Greek pneuma (G4151) both mean "breath," "spirit," and "life." Therefore, understanding these words is essential for unraveling their deeper spiritual meaning. Additionally, this linguistic foundation helps connect ancient concepts with modern interpretations.

One Experience, Millions of Witnesses

Although faith traditions often begin with individual revelations, what happens when an entire nation shares the same spiritual encounter? This book reveals precisely what set the Sinai event apart from every other spiritual origin story. Furthermore, it considers the implications of millions witnessing the same profound moment.

Unknown Hebrew

I write under the name Unknown Hebrew as a devoted member of the Fourth Tribe of Israel, walking daily in faith and obedience to YAHUAH. My journey began within Christian doctrine, but a thirst for deeper truth led me back to the foundation of it all—the Hebrew Israelites. That spiritual homecoming rekindled my purpose: to study, to write, and to live by the ancient paths YAHUAH established for His chosen people. The name Unknown Hebrew reflects my core belief—to turn all attention away from myself and toward the glory of YAHUAH, our ELOHIM. Everything I create is for His purpose: to study and show ourselves approved, to walk in the ways of the Order of Melchizedek, to spread the gospel to Israelites scattered across the earth, and to await with faith the return of our King and High Priest, YAHUSHUA.

The Ruach Ha' Kodesh Sinai & The Breath - Unknown Hebrew

    INTRODUCTION

    ––––––––

Man is nothing compared to ELOHIM. Genesis 1, we find YAHUAH ELOHIM creating the heavens and the earth, and all with have around us in six days; resting on the seventh. The Bible tells us this is what happened at the beginning, the beginning of recorded time from the Bible. ELOHIM was already there; we do not know anymore. From generation stretching backward from creation without limits; to generations stretching forward without limits. ELOHIM is there; ELOHIM was; ELOHIM is; ELOHIM will be forever. That can be difficult for us in our mortal states to comprehend. ELOHIM is all-powerful; He is the Creator of all that we know, and it stated with His breath; He breathed, and it was so.

Psalm 33:6-9 tells us, "⁶ By the word of YAHUAH were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. ⁷ He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. ⁸ Let all the earth fear YAHUAH: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. ⁹ For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. While in Job 34:14-15, we are told, ¹⁴ If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath; ¹⁵ All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust." His breath is the invisible power and might that flows.

His breath; is beyond our understanding; how do you begin to explain the unexplainable? We have an idea, a concept that is a Hebrew concept by nature. What adds to the complexity of it is our English language and cultural ideas. We may have preconceived notions, and we sometimes have to deconstruct these ideas to understand the original context or idea. We have to unlearn certain aspects so we can relearn from maybe a different perspective. Where we find something new in that and in doing that, we increase our knowledge. We get a deeper meaning and a more in-depth feeling of what ELOHIM intends for us to understand. It brings us closer to ELOHIM, which is our whole point.

To accomplish that, we must do a word study on the Ruach, which is the Hebrew word for breath, wind, or spirit. The Ruach is difficult to describe, understand, and explain; it is the most misunderstood characteristic of ELOHIM. The Hebrew word for the Holy Spirit of ELOHIM is: Ruach Ha’Kodesh, and the Greek is Pneuma Hagion. The first time we come across the word Ruach is at the beginning of Genesis 1:1-2, which reads, ¹ In the beginning ELOHIM created the heaven and the earth. ² And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of ELOHIM moved upon the face of the waters. The first time we see this word, Ruach, is in Genesis 1:2, and it is referring to the Ruach of ELOHIM; the Spirit of ELOHIM. According to the Blue Letter Bible, in the Hebrew, it is rûaḥ (roo'-akh) (H7307). The term rûaḥ" appears as follows; Spirit or spirit (232x), wind (92x), breath (27x), side (6x), mind (5x), blast (4x), vain (2x), air (1x), anger (1x), cool (1x), courage (1x), miscellaneous (6x). We can see it has several meanings depending on the context in the Tanakh (Old Testament).

However, we understand it as meaning, breath, wind, mind, or Spirit, which is its basis. It is where we get our translation Spirit from; so, we begin the first Ruach ELOHIM that we come across, which is the idea that He spoke and He breathed out words. It is referring somewhat to the breath of ELOHIM. When ELOHIM spoke, the Spirit hovering over the formless and void earth spoke, and the Spirit moved. It acted; it began creation. The word form according to the Blue Letter Bible in the Hebrew is "tôû" (to'-hoo) (H8414), meaning formlessness, confusion, unreality, emptiness, formlessness (of primeval earth), nothingness, empty space, that which is empty or unreal (of idols) (fig), wasteland, wilderness (of solitary places).
