PREFACE

When I had the idea of writing this book, I didn't know how to tell the story of a mysterious gas that appeared in the city where I live that killed one person and left thousands out of their homes, but I knew that it was necessary to tell this story. This case went viral on the internet and caused the case to be reported in several newspapers in Brazil, and attracted attention due to its mystery, since no one knew where the gas came from, or they pretended not to.

In the beginning, the idea of creating fictional characters that would be in the stories with real characters came up, then I realized that I would need to tel other stories of accidents that happened in the world and that through these stories they would compare with what happened in Pontal, so I will cite in this book accidents that took place in Brazil and the world.

In the first accident mentioned in chapter 2, it tel s what happened at the slaughterhouse in Barretos / SP / Brazil, then tells the train accident in the United States, in

chapter 4 the accident on the Castelo Branco avenue and in the fol owing the accident that had a gas leak in the condominium in Brusque - Vale do Itajaí, in the last quote the biggest accident in the history of the world what happened in India.

I hope that through this story I manage to send a message to prevent more accidents from happening, at the end of the book I will talk about which characters in the book are real and which are fictional.

CHAPTER 1 – SOAPY CATFISH – 7

In life we always make choices, but most of us don't worry about their consequences in the future, I made my choices and traced my destiny, I made a mistake and I regret it, I can't change the past, but I have a new chance to change the future, I cal Arnaldo and I will fight until the end of my days against everyone who is doing the same as I did.

The phone rings, and when Arnaldo picks up the cel phone, he immediately notices the name of the contact, it's Patrícia.

He picks it up right away saying, Hel o Pat, how are you?

Patricia replies: — You disappeared, it took a lot of work to get your number, it's been several years since you abandoned me.
