Terms Defined
I use the following terms interchangeably - Holy Spirit, loving guidance, higher self, intuition, and/or higher guidance to represent the source of inspiration.
I use the term God to represent the source of all power.
I do not use these terms in a religious sense but only to represent a presence much greater than myself.
History
In Love Awakens You, the history section focused on how the inspirational sayings came about as well as a brief introduction to my spiritual journey. In Love Saves You I am giving you a history of my major health issues to show that anything is possible when you follow the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
In my late 30’s I had a hysterectomy. I needed to have one because I had cysts, fibroids, and endometriosis. I was a mess. I asked the surgeon to leave my ovaries because I did not want to go through early menopause. She had to remove one of the ovaries due to a cyst but the other ovary she left. It was 10 years later that I started menopause.
In my early 40’s I had an upper GI test done. At that time, the doctor told me I had a lesion near the duodenum. He did not seem concerned about it so nothing was done about it.
A few years after the upper GI, I lost complete feeling and mobility in my left arm. I laid down on the bed and focused on how was I going to regain feeling and mobility in my arm. A couple of hours later I was able to move my arm.
I decided to see my nurse practitioner, and she sent me for an MRI. I had two discs that were completely crushed and pushing on the spinal column. I ended up having a neck fusion in the C5-C6 and C6-C7 areas. It was 3 months before I could lay down flat to sleep. To this day, my neck is fine and I have most of its mobility.
A year later, after my neck surgery, I had a sharp pain in my right side (no it was not my appendix). So much so it hurt to breathe. Eventually it got bad enough for me to go see my nurse practitioner. Luckily, she took me seriously and sent me for a CAT scan.
Within three days of the CAT scan, I had an MRI. After the MRI I was told I had cancer and it was most likely liver cancer. I had a liver biopsy done and it was determined I had neuro endocrine carcinoma stage 4 cancer, not liver cancer.
I spent the next month bursting into tears and crying all the time. It was devastating to hear I had cancer and wondering how was I going to continue to live knowing I could die at any moment. Eventually, I was really tired, physically and emotionally, from crying all the time. I had enough of crying and after a month decided something had to change.
I asked my guides what should I do since I had stage 4 cancer. They said ‘live your life’. Ok then, I had better start living my life in the best way I can. Slowly my life changed and I no longer focused on the cancer. This of course took a year or so for me to not always be thinking of the cancer.
I did have chemoembolization done, where chemo beads are placed directly in the right and left lobes of the liver. After the right lobe was done, some of the beads migrated to the gallbladder and I ended up in the hospital for six days. Once all the swelling went down, I was able to have the left lobe done. (A few months later I did have to have my gallbladder removed.)
A few months after the chemoembolization, I started to notice large reddish brownish spots on my skin. The spots started small but quickly grew. I went to the dermatologist and he did a punch biopsy to find out what was happening. It was determined I had an auto immune disorder call morphea. Morphea can be an outward sign for lupus and/or scleroderma (I do not have either, just morphea). Morphea is a chronic hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissue. This condition cannot be cured.
It got to the point where I could not hold a pen or the steering wheel of a car. I was also heading to the point where I was going to be in a wheelchair. I would stand up from sitting in a chair and I would need a few seconds before I could walk because I
