About this ebook

Life is a continuous cycle, a never-ending journey accompanied by friendly and less friendly people. What happens to us along the way sometimes makes us feel unwell and other times better, even though everything is pure necessity. What is the order of things? Where do we place ourselves in the universe, and how do we know we are at the right place in our own lives? Do we serve our environment, or is the environment at our service?

In his first, poetically beautiful volume of 'A Drop of Life', Zsolt Sárközy guides children and parents deep into the ocean to explore the hidden secrets of our being here.

A Drop of Life - Sárközy Zsolt

    Precipitation

Somewhere in the depths of the Pacific Ocean, even east of the land of the rising sun, in pitch-black darkness and under enormous pressure, but with the greatest peace and innocence, a small drop precipitated from The All . . .

However, before she could continue to contemplate the first essential questions of her being here, she became aware of how light she felt.

    – Wow! — she wondered as she sensed starting to rise. Since she hadn’t been here a few moments before, she could have never experienced what it was like to move forward or backwards, up or down; yet for some reason, she still knew where she was going, and that was up. Also, as she did not make any effort, and this movement was self-evident and seemed safe, she surrendered to it and let herself be lifted further and further.

This must be the Order of Things here. Anyway, what else could I possibly do in this situation? — she wondered.

    Separation

One Drop might have already forgotten where she had come from when she felt she was no longer rising – something was pushing her from above. How strange! I’m so light, I feel like I could rise further, yet I cannot. — she noted.

    – Why can’t I get higher? — she shouted.

    – What was that? Who said that? — someone asked in return.

This voice was much deeper than hers, and she did not hear it from herself but from the outside. Why has my voice suddenly become like that, and how come I hear it if I didn’t say anything at all? — she dwelled.

    – Hello! Are you still there? The deep voice asked again.

    – I’m here. Who said that? — One Drop asked excitedly.

    – I’m Amphi. I live here in the
