The Truth behind Words - Katherine Rose C. Cortez
Just Like The Rain
There were days that you want to play under the rain as you see it pouring outside the window. You would reminisce how it is feel like to dance under the rain. And as you think about it deeper, you will remember how broken are you when the rain falls.
‘Cause just like the rain, he fell out of love for you at the very moment of your excitement. Everything ceased without even giving you a sign of its end. So you’ll stop recalling ̶ never to love again.
I’m Sorry, I Couldn’t Make You Happy
The rain is falling from the gray sky,
The wind is blowing as the birds fly.
Just like the snow when it’s winter,
For your teary eyes, I can be your shoulder.
When we first met, you were broken,
I fixed your heart, it feels like heaven.
The last pieces of me I gave you,
But it’s still not that enough for you.
I can be your strength when you are weak,
I can be your air when you are sick.
That moment I prayed for you to stay,
Looks like you’re numb and went away.
I’m sorry; I just couldn’t dump you,
I’m sorry for dreaming of you.
And for being your eyes when you can’t see,
I’m really sorry, I couldn’t make you happy.
You left me sad memories…
You left me sad…
You left me…
You left…
Leave Me
Leave me if you can’t take the pain,
Pain that pass through your vein.
All the struggles of yesterday’s cry,
And make the hurtful, hardest goodbye.
Leave me just like how I cheated on you,
Tears of the night I have given you.
Words of lies and the broken promise,
Recognize the miserable poet’s piece.
Leave me just like she did to you,
Curse me I’ll say, I love you too.
I want you to treat me nonchalantly,
To ease the pain you feel eternally.
Leave me just like I want you to do,
The love I felt and defined as you.
Trust you gave me, I broke into pieces,
I’ll accept your grudge and sad kisses.
Leave me ‘cause I want you to be happy,
That loneliness of you I felt so sorry.
Those fake smiles and laughs you give,
The mistake I did, I ask you to forgive.
Leave me and find the love you deserve,
The painful shout of your heart, I heard.
But can you still give me one more chance?
Please, give me your love and trust for once.
Anniversary
Creating a grateful relationship within a year with your partner is a bit hard. You have to go through ups and downs with someone you love just to make an almost perfect relationship.
On the first and second month of love, you can feel the butterflies in your stomach. It’s as if your world is only revolving around that person. On the third month, the love is still colorful like a peacock flying on the sky freely. With the fourth and fifth month of your relationship, problems will start to enter your love and it was like an agony to see each other suffer just to solve it.
For the sixth and seventh month of love, a gigantic knot will come on your way to test how deep your love with each other is. It’s as if you hanged yourselves at the ceiling while trying to breathe and save each other. On the
