What Is Love? - Gracie Flores
I Pray for My Love
I pray at night for my love to come back,
I wish he hadn’t left me,
For I’ll never love anyone more.
I dream him every night,
Right here holding me tight
But I always pray for him,
For I’ll never love anyone more.
Why did he have to leave me God?
He knew I loved him terribly
But I’ll never love anyone more
So I always pray for him to come back.
When he loved me I felt a pain
But now that he’s left me I feel another pain,
But I always pray for him,
Because I’ll never love anyone more.
Please make him love me again, God,
And please bless him even though he doesn’t love me
Because I’ll always pray for him,
And never love anyone more.

His Love I’ll Never Find
I thought he loved me,
I thought he cared.
But it was all a lie,
Even the love we shared.
I thought he’d never leave,
Never say good-bye.
But now that he has,
That’s what makes me cry.
I thought he’d always stay,
Make my life worthwhile,
But now I only remember,
His loving, beautiful smile.
His last good-bye was painful.
My tears couldn’t hold any longer.
Then he just walked way,
My heart yearning for that lover.
Now several years have gone,
He never did return
I guess I’ll never accept the fact,
That he married another girl.
My heart still yearns for his love,
Our love still lingers in my mind.
But all the time I realize,
That his love I’ll never find.

When the Hurting Starts
Don’t say you love me,
Don’t say you care,
For there are too many memories
lingering there.
Just hold me,
Need me and be there
I don’t need much,
Why do you stare?
Live for today,
The future is too far away,
Yesterday too close,
There is no other way.
I had a love once
But my heart broke into many parts.
So I won’t be with you long,
Just until the hurting starts.

Don’t Watch Me Die
I can’t think right,
I can’t concentrate,
Just to think about it,
Makes me sick with fright.
I turn on the radio,
I turn it full blast.
I even start singing,
But nothing ever lasts.
I try to sleep,
I try to eat,
I just can’t forget about it,
It hurts too deep.
I’m hurt right now,
I’m dying with pain.
Why has he left me?
Can anyone make that plain?
I think I’m dying, too,
After so many years.
I can’t bear the thought that he’s left me,
I can’t bear the tears.
But as I go to the sky,
I know I’ll ever forget,
His dying words to me were,
Leave, darling, don’t watch me die.
