I was sprinting in deep forest blindly. Monster behind me was chasing me like crazy predator hunting his prey. He was getting closer with every passing second and I made up my mind for worst death possible. Suddenly, he jumped to come in front of me and pinned me to the ground growling loudly. I closed my eyes and waited for his claws to slit my throat. To my surprise, he leaned in closer and sniffed my neck. "Mate" he whispered. Hearing this word again made me panic. "Am I going to face another rejection? Moon goddess can't be this cruel to me."

Chapter 2 Pain of Rejection

How the hell it's possible that you are my mate. Moon Goddess must be joking. He looked at me with disbelief.

I woke up with pain in every inch of my body and found myself in forest covered in a sack. My torn dress was also thrown beside me. As I came back to my senses, earlier events flashed across my mind and pain of rejection made me scream again. My wolf was whimpering in the corner of my mind and my whole body felt like it's on fire. I gathered some courage, picked up my clothes and went to pack house. It was already late at night so no one was outside and I reached my room without getting spotted. I was going to the bathroom when I saw my own reflection in the mirror.

My lean body was covered with bite marks and my blonde hairs were a mess, blue eyes were swollen red due to constant crying and my fair complexion was pale like I am sick for a long time. Look mom, that's what my long awaited mate did to me.

I went into the bathroom and took shower. I wrapped myself with a towel and mourned for my rejection for the rest of the night.

Days are passing monotonously in the mansion of Lycan King Alexander Maximus, the King of all shifter kind. He has lived for over 10 centuries and has seen every kind of conflicts and tussles. Inspite of his god like appearance: 7 feet tall muscular body, black smooth hairs and hazel eyes, his Erasthai is still no where to be found and he has lost his hope for her a long time ago. Kingdom is peaceful recently so he was leisurely sitting near a window buried deep in his thoughts.

Chapter 3 Life goes on

Jasmine's P.O.V.

Days after my rejection passed as routine with only difference that I lost all my hopes of a happy future, as my life will be the same as an unwanted, weak slave. My mother tried to inquire me many times but I couldn't utter a single word due to Alpha's command.

I lost my appetite for happiness and became more cautious in order to survive safely. After two weeks, I started vomiting non stop atwork and sent to pack's hospital. Mom attended me immediately and got worried after check up. She was about to say something when head doctor scoffed Lily, your daughter is pregnant without a mate. What a whore she is.

I became shocked by his words and looked at mom who's worried face was proving his words right. A wave of happiness passed through me at the thought of a life inside me, a tiny little life solely depended on me. My child, I smiled as these words came to my mind and I touched my belly.
