About this ebook
The great need of God today are priests that can stand with Him and engage Him enough so that God will bring a revival because the whole society of the human race needs it. We are living in a time where humans don't care anymore for others. Where are the priests of the Most High to bring the counsel of God? It is only priesthood that can end the works of the enemy across the nations of the world.
It takes priesthood to see change in circumstances and anytime the priests of light don't stand to take their position then we give way to seducing spirits and devils to confuse our world. God gave this world to men but men chose to partner with strange spirits and this is the work of a false priesthood. And anytime the devil is invited chaos takes place. We need the priests of light to stand up and fight so that the will of God will find expression on the earth.
Priesthood is a work of priests and what priests do is that they offer sacrifices unto God and the sacrifices that priests offer cannot be offered by any person who is not a priest. In the bible we read of two types of priesthood the Leviticus priesthood and the Melchizedek priesthood both these priesthood are different but they both offer sacrifices as we know that there is no priesthood without sacrifice. And anytime there is sacrifice an altar is erected or raised. Priesthood works by altars altars, without an altar priesthood become absolute.
A priest is a person of the altar, someone dedicated to the altar and the product or the outcome of their life will be determined by the spirit of their altar. If you are a priest then we will see the workings of your altar through your life.

CHAPTER 1
Priesthood and Prayer
"And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loves us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priest unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." (Revelations 1:5-6)

t is important to note that we are priest and the bible tells us that our priesthood came by sacrifice. Our priesthood was erected from an altar and that altar happens to be the cross of Christ. I hope we are aware that the moment there is a sacrifice of blood an altar is raised. It was not raised by the sacrifice of bulls and rams because those were a shadow of a much greater altar God had for the whole human race after the fall. God is in the business of building on the earth. He wants to build a priesthood that can trap his dimensions of heaven here on the earth. So that every believer will not need to travel to heaven to trap the dimensions of God because they are here on the earth. The objective of priesthood is to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Christ Jesus. The sacrifice that erected the altar of the cross of Christ the bible says it never ceases to speak for us before the sanctuary of heaven. In the Old Testament they had to offer sacrifices year by year because the sacrifice of animals did not have adequate spiritual capacity to take away the sins of men. The bible teaches that because of the sacrifice on the cross, Jesus became a high priest and our high priest, "Never ceases to make intercessions for us before the great God Jehovah. (Hebrews 7:25) Christ Jesus is the high priest and the work of a high priest is to advocate for the people. As long as we are on the earth Christ Jesus is on the throne for our benefit to make sure that our priesthood becomes successful till he come to receive us unto himself. But we also have to note that we have a role to play and that’s teaming up with him to make sure that the will of God on the earth is done. The life of priesthood for the believer of Christ is different from the Leviticus priesthood. For us we are not born to it but a life called into. God has called every believer to a life that is in complete service to him and that’s priesthood. The first necessity in the life of every believer is a life of prayer. Prayer is the only thing that can make our priesthood have a voice in the spirit or be effective. Jesus made us priests by an act of his suffering and sacrifice but we have to build our priesthood in the spirit and this can only be done by the way of prayer. It’s a life of prayer because the moment one accepts Jesus into their life they turn against the devil and the priesthood that the enemy used to manipulate their life and circumstances. Every person who is not born again is at the rule of Satan whether they know it or not, and there is a priesthood and an altar that manipulates their life. And what the devil does is that he lets them live their life and enjoy it as much as they like, but things change when they accept Jesus, they come back to God and becomes God’s own peculiar people. The moment this happens the powers of darkness comes after them because they have the name of Jesus Christ in them and the devil can see this. Some people say that since they came to Jesus it seems like they are rejected by people who used to embrace them, this is because the god of this world makes them to act that way towards them as they no longer belong to the world but they are now a peculiar people unto God. Being an enemy of the devil makes prayer important in the life of every believer. Prayer is the only thing that make us close to God because from the moment men declared independence from God it became difficult for God to intervene in the affairs of man, and this made prayer important, prayer is earthy permition for heavenly interference, God cannot intervene in our affairs without us inviting him to. Prayer is something that makes intimacy with God. Prayer makes the Christian life enjoyable and easy to live. It help us overcome the devil because in prayer God releases his power that destroys the works of darkness. A Christian life is a life of war with evil spirit and this makes prayer important and the only way to live above evil spirits. Paul said,
We don’t wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world." (Ephesians 6:12) We are in warfare whether we like it or not and the sooner we know this the better because knowing that you are in something makes you wise and cautious about it. And in the same chapter he also said, "Put God’s amour now! Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to resists the enemy’s attacks; and after fighting to the end, you will still hold your ground." (Ephesians 6:13) We put Gods amour through prayer, and listen to what he also says, there is an evil day for every one of us, and the only way to conquer in that evil day is through the investment of our everyday engagement in prayer. Prayer makes the enemy’s visitation futile. Know this, the devil will always fail if we are serious about our priesthood in prayer. Unless God permits him to prevail, to test our faith. God is able to let the enemy prosper when he attacks us but this only happens when God wants to test our faith. It is also important to note that God will not let the faith of a person who is not committed to him be tested like this. When the devil prospers on people who are not committed to their priesthood or God in particular we should not consider that as a test of faith but something else. Paul spoke about how we can put the amour of priesthood, "So stand ready with truth as a belt tied around your waist, with righteousness as your breastplate, and as your shoes the readiness to announce the Good News of peace. At all times carry faith as a shield: for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the Evil One. And accept salvation as a helmet, and the Word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you." (Ephesians 6:14-17) Through prayer we give the Holy Spirit the right to give us the amour of the spirit. Prayer keeps us alive in the spirit, when we don’t pray our spirit faints and it makes it hard for us to pick up movements in the spirit. Through prayer we are able to see and sense the movements in the spirit both good and evil. God has called us to pray without ceasing, and that word ceasing tells us that we must not stop praying- meaning we ought to pray constantly. Prayer is what gives life in the spirit. Prayer is significant for the Christian life because there is a devil and lack of prayer will make him win. If we want to walk with power as Jesus did we must follow his example! And we all know that Jesus was a man of prayer. One might say but Jesus was God! Yes he was but when he was here, he operated as a man because he could be hungry and not use his omnipotent abilities to create food for him to eat. And he could not have
