There’s a plain brown parcel sitting on my desk when I arrive at work. I don’t normally receive packages, and I definitely haven’t ordered anything in the last few days, so I’m sure it has to be a mistake – until I see my name on the label.

I start to unpeel the packing tape from the sides, curious and a little confused. There are no clues to what’s inside, no company logo or return address. I open the flaps and tip it up, and an elegant black box slides out.
