Raw Conscience: Poetry in Its Rawest Form
By Mitchell Odom and Melodie Yvonne
()
About this ebook
The title, Raw Conscience, speaks to the honesty and vulnerability that permeates this collection. These poems are a reflection of innermost thoughts and feelings, stripped of any filters or pretenses. Each poem in this book is a snapshot of a moment in time, a memory, an experience, a struggle. Some may resonate deeply, while others may evoke different emotions. But the common thread that runs through them all is a desire to connect and relate to the human experience.
Through its unapologetic and unfiltered reflections, Raw Conscience invites readers to embrace their own vulnerabilities and find strength in the midst of their struggles. It is a reminder that our flaws and imperfections make us human, and that our conscience, no matter how raw, is what makes us truly unique. May these pages serve as a reminder that we are never truly alone in our struggles and that there is always beauty and strength to be found in our rawest moments.……… In our Raw Conscience.

A person and person taking a selfie Description automatically generatedThe Poet and The Photographer
In the realm of light and shadow, where stories lie untold,
There walked a soul with a lens, her vision pure as gold.
Melodie a photographer, her eyes a gentle gaze,
Captured life in fleeting moments, in mesmerizing ways.
Through the lens, she saw the world, in colors rich and deep,
Each frame a silent story, in her heart, it would keep.
In the crowded concert venues, or the quiet of the morn,
She found beauty in the world, in every image born.
A soul of endless kindness, with eyes that seemed to see,
She crossed my path one fateful day and changed the course for me.
Melodie saw my poetry, hidden in the light,
She said, Your words are magic, they deserve a flight.
Together, we embarked on a journey, to weave words into art,
To create a masterpiece, that would touch the human heart.
She believed in my words, in their power to inspire,
She nurtured them like fragile flowers, in a world so often dire.
With her by my side, we crafted a book, a testament to our bond,
Each page a work of art, in which our souls were fond.
Her support was my anchor, in a sea of doubt and
