About this ebook
Joe Barajas
Born in Gilroy, CA and raised in San Jose, CA, I started drawing around the age of five replicating cartoon and comic book characters. By the age of ten, I moved on to portraits and still life drawings. By the age of fourteen, I was producing original illustrations and sketches. At the age of thirteen I started writing juvenile poetry which was extremely abstract and emotional due to the many personal struggles and hardships I had already faced in my life at that age. At seventeen, I was writing more sophisticated poetry and had also become an oil painter. Since the age of seventeen I've been in and out of the art scene, doing shows, both solo and collaborative for different organizations and galleries in San Jose, CA. My artwork has been published in two college literary magazines: San Jose State University's Reed Magazine and De Anza College's RedWheel Barrow Magazine. I am first and foremost an artist and have no intention of giving up my ambition to make my mark in the art world.
