Chapter one

Light Conquers Dark

As the darkness fades

And you step into the light

You don't have to ever fear,

It's not fight or flight

Let go of the emotions

That you've held up so tight.

Releasing the demons

That have laid trapped inside.

Let your feelings flow.

Your heart has nothing to hide.

Look to happiness

Forget days in the past

Today is the first day,

Never your last.

Every moment you hold,

Share with your loved ones.

Each day to the fullest,

As it's sent from above.

Each breath taken

Each lung filled with care.

Lost is the lifetime,

That was filled with despair.

Positive outlook, fulfill.

Heart bursting with love

Action and reaction.

Lifes' parallel.

You are here for a reason,

Your purpose is indeed felt.

Chapter two

Emptiness

Empty Promises,

Loss of Hope.

Winding Staircases.

Bottomless Moat.

Thoughts of helplessness.

Tears of despair.

Crashing dreams.

A life, going nowhere.

Faded memories.

Broken glass.

Heart skipping for a moment,

Never resting the head.

Twisted dark,

Deep within.

Everlasting pain,

knows no end.

Torn families,

ripped right at the seams.

Try, try, try…

To live, hope and dream.

Hold to hope,

Follow the dream!

Make the memory!

Be all you can be!

Live, laugh, love…?

Are you for real?

Wishing it was as easy,
