Dedication
To those brave souls searching for a long-lost freedom. You are not alone. You are worth it. Keep searching.
Should a Could a Would
Should.
Should.
SHOULD.
Could.
Would.
…
If.
If only.
What if.
If I.
If we.
If they.
They could.
We could.
I could.
They should
We should.
I should.
I should be better.
I should be smarter.
I should be more.
I should be more fun.
I should be more forgiving.
I should be more loving.
I should be more silent.
I should be more calm.
I should be.
BE.
Only BE.
Not DO.
Not TRY.
Not COVER UP.
Just BE.
BE.
Be me.
Not you.
Not your friend.
Not my friend.
Not my boss.
Not my job.
Not my hopes or dreams.
Just me.
Pure,
Simple,
Imperfect me.
Messy me.
I want to be me.
I should be me.
Should.
Could.
Would.
I would be me.
If I could be me.
But I can’t be me.
Cause me…
Won’t let me.
The pressure of the should
Stands in contrast
To the resolve to know who I am,
And be who I am.
I would be better if I could be better.
I would be smarter if I could be smarter.
I would be more if I could be more.
I would be if I could be.
But all I can be is me.
And me is enough.
Enough.
