Attitude Determines Altitude - Dr. Karockas "Doc Rock" Watkins
ATTITUDE DEFINED
An attitude continually transformed by your mindset will bring success to your life.
You are where you are today based on the attitudes you had in the past, and who you will be in the future is based on the attitudes you have today. Better stated, you are today what you thought yesterday, and you will be tomorrow what you are thinking today.
Your attitude controls your success and failure—and it is time for it to give you more success.
Success, however, is not just the acquisition of material things or professional status. Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. I discovered this to be true when I saw myself gaining some things that I never had but still being unfulfilled. It felt good in the moment, but there was no longevity to that feeling.
As I asked myself, What is this? I realized that fulfillment comes when we achieve or accomplish who we are called to be on this earth.
I believe every person has the right to a successful life.
This requires you to discover your why.
It is the reason you exist, your purpose for living. Until you figure it out, you’ll always think about the how
and the when,
but never realize them.
Many times, our why is born from our gifts, talents, and struggles, and it is perhaps best seen as that one thing, if we had all the money in the world, that we would do for free. I tell people that their why is that thing that will get them out of the bed when everyone else is still hitting the snooze button.
When we discover our why, we will search diligently to recognize how to accomplish it, and we will wait as long as it takes to gain the knowledge, stability, and experience to fulfill it. Then, the question of when our why happens is swallowed up in the journey of understanding
