Introduction
Over the years, I have seen how people work hard to achieve their best or to be the best they can be. I have also seen how parents give their children the best to bring out the best in them and to become the best they can be.
I remember how my mum and dad worked so hard to make sure that their children had the best in life. It is the desire of every parent to want the best for their children. Despite all that, I have realized that there is a fine line between giving the best and becoming the best.
People follow in the footsteps of successful people. They do what they do, talk the way they talk, walk their walk, and hope to become as successful as they are.
Being the best is not about these things; it is about having a formula that works for you as an individual. It is something you have to search for, not the opinion of someone else or the advice given to you. It is a stand that requires a strategy, a deliberate act of bettering yourself.
The Best of You reassures you that the best is possible for you. You can be whatever you want to be. It does not matter where you are right now; there is hope for everyone. You do not have to be somebody else. Always remember that you are created as an individual and are therefore responsible for your life. Whatever bad things have happened to you—write them in the sand—write the good ones on a piece of marble. The Best of You teaches you to understand what you want and what you need to do. Moreover, in doing it, you have to understand that:
• you can get there if you are willing to work;
• and secondly, there is nothing like ten simple steps to riches; it is a process.
Albert Camus, the second youngest recipient of the Noble Prize in literature, said that all great deeds and all great thoughts have ridiculous beginnings.
Let’s Begin!

There is one quality that one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one want, and a burning desire to possess it.
Napoleon Hill
You have the key to your own life
A man is as great as the dreams
he dreams, As great as the love he bears; As
great as the values he redeems, And the
happiness he shares. A man is as great
as the thoughts he thinks, As the worth
he has attained; As the fountains at
which his spirit drinks And the insight
he has gained. A man is as great as the
truth he speaks, As great as the help he
gives, As great as the destiny he seeks,
As great as the life he lives.

Excellence
‘Confuse activity with accomplishment.’
I am excited with this word because I personally find it challenging just to hear it. It is a state of excelling or being exceptionally good in whatever we find ourselves doing at any particular time, be it cleaning, gardening, childcare, or whatever. Our creator is an example of excellence. He created the world and made it good and perfect. You can see persistency and excellence in his work. He promised us that we are created in his own image; therefore we are just like Him, and therefore we should exhibit excellence in our work. He created us specifically for a particular purpose and has given us all the right tools to accomplish all the desires he has for us as individuals. Therefore, my question to you is, Why settle for mediocrity, a substandard life, a life below par, a life of which you cannot boast or be proud—simply put, merely a coping kind of life?
His creation has instilled in us great qualities, but realizing them depends on you as an individual and is not a collective decision.
A lot of us think people who make it in life owe it to some bonanza or an inheritance or whatever you may term it. I am not excluding myself from this sort of
