Introduction

‘Seeing is believing’ is a phrase often used by sceptics and atheists for whom this book has been written. This book has also been addressed to Christians to help strengthen their faith by showing them evidence for a creator God.

This book aims to address the atheist myth that Christianity has no evidence and that you can’t be both religious and scientific. As demonstrated in this book, scientific evidence can be provided to support the existence of an invisible deity.

The Bible defines faith as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The keyword here that I would like to emphasise is ‘evidence’. The evidence can be seen; however, God cannot be seen. It’s a bit like oxygen. We can’t see oxygen with the naked eye, but we know it exists by the evidence.

John Newton who wrote the hymn ‘Amazing Grace’ states in the song that he was blind but now he sees. John Newton became a ‘born-again Christian’ by believing, receiving, and becoming. He was given the gift of salvation to be able to see the will of God through his word. A spiritually blind person is not able to see this, and for all miracles, including creation, he or she will try to explain it away with science and chance.

Science cannot explain miracles, and the law of probability simply rules out that life could have occurred by chance. Producing life cannot even be produced in a test tube by intensive experimentation, so how could it occur by chance? Scientists now know that DNA is made up of complex ordered codes. Entropy says that nature is heading towards disorder. This is observed in the growing amount of bad mutations in the human genome. Hence, it is not possible for natural forces, such as mutations, to cause a microbe to evolve into a man. The big question that requires an answer is ‘Where did the additional information come from?’ What’s deceiving is that there is evidence for microevolution, which is just a rearrangement of existing information; however, there is no evidence for macroevolution where irreducible complexity comes into existence and new fully functioning parts are produced. What baffles me is that scientists are wilfully ignorant of this and refuse to accept the enormous amount of evidence against the evolution of microbe to man.

My prayer is that this book opens the eyes and minds of many to the hope that there is a God who loves us, and there will one day be an existence free from evil and unbelief.

In the beginning (time), God created the heaven (space) and the earth (matter). And God said, ‘Let there be light (energy)’, and there was light.

In the first few sentences of the Bible, all the components that define our existence scientifically have been mentioned, that is, time, space, matter, and energy.

Now that is not bad for a so called caveman with no formal education. The Bible also claims to be written by godly men and inspired by God. These first few sentences of the Bible certainly demonstrate that because Moses would have known very little about time, space, matter, and energy at that time in history. However, his creator obviously did know and must have spoken to him through his conscience.
