Chapter 130 Love cannot be commanded !

Meredith’s POV

Love? I asked that shit that stays in front of me. Love? Really? You entered my life with your boots and that is the only thing that goes through your head?

Should I have brought flowers? the jerk asked me.

He is somewhere over his forty, a damned good example of nowadays gladiator. I would lie to say that the jerk is not looking well, but all I care about right now is how to break his neck quickly and then save Max.

So you are my royal trophy, he said, starting to walk around me. And you are a white wolf too, so rare for a royal, that makes you even more special.

What the hell ? Doesn't he know that I am a primordial wolf too? I asked Artemis.

It seems he doesn't . A royal is strong enough, only our white fur could make him find the truth but it seems that all he knows is about royals.

I look around him. There were at least ten hunters that encircled the place.

Just for the sake of the game, I will let you save him. I can kill him later when he will try to take you away from me and he starts to laugh.

Who the fuck are you? I ask him because I never saw a human so demonic as this jerk.

I hoped so! he laughed in my face.

Let me save Max, this is the last time I am asking this. If you insist on disturbing me, I will hunt you and kill you one by one!

And all the hunters started to laugh about me.

Artemis! It's your show! I tell her and let her take control and in two seconds she leaves Max on the ground and detaches the neck of the closest hunter from where we just stay, shocking everyone.

If you don't want to kill all your men I suggest you take a step back and leave me alone!

I just bent and kissed Max's lips.

I will get you out of here I tell him through mindlink hoping that he is hearing me.

Where are you? I mindlink James.

Very close, he said.

James, tell Carter that the traitor is with him. He has a phone with him. Just be careful!

And right then the jerk let his dogs off the leash and attacked me.

That's enough! Manganiello said. You are coming with me!

But I transform completely in my white wolf making his hunters to take a step back and growling at them I say:

Didn't you learn that love cannot be commanded!?

Chapter 131 Not even death can separate us!

Attack her! Manganiello yelled as hard as he could from his human lungs. You can wound her but don't kill her, she would be mine!!!

Meredith is in her wolf form and gives the hunters a big growl. She just looks around at their weapons.

If there is any wolfsbane, I can annihilate its effects but if anything will happen to Max, I'm doomed! Artemis said.

I know and growling again at those hunters, showing her fangs.

Attack her! Manganiello yelled again. What are you looking for?

And one of the hunters, encouraged by Manganiello's roars, rushes towards Meredith, trying to injure her with a dagger.

Let's test something. Artemis said and she let the hunter come closer and when he lifted his hand to hurt her she caught him under her paws and said:

Stay still! but the man didn't react to her.

Shit, this is only for werewolves? and having no other choice pulls his head off his shoulders and walks away from him.

Who's next? she asks while the rest of the hunters just look at their decapitated colleague.

Go! Manganiello commands a very young hunter who is a little scared after he sees what Meredith was able to do. He likes to have a head on his shoulders, his own head if it is possible, so the young man hesitates.

Did I do something wrong to him? she asks, completely panicked.

No Luna, but in this situation any other female wolf would have gone completely crazy. You did that during those circumstances?

I thought that I would die, Max whispered, lifting his hand and caressing Meredith's face.

Then when you die I will die too, Max, because not even death can separate you and me! and she put her head on his chest letting her tears flow down her face and letting her emotions go.

Chapter 132 I feel like a crap!

Author’s POV

All the way back to the packhouse Max stayed near Meredith, with his head on his lap, while the doctor was monitoring the state of health.

He will be alright, it was a bullet full of wolfsbane and almost hit his heart, but now he is out of any danger, Luna, don't worry about him.

Did you hear the doctor? Max asked her. Stop worrying about me. I'm fine!

You are not fine, Max! You almost died today and you scared me. and Meredith leans down and kisses him. I almost lost you.

And I almost lost you too, if you hadn't been the coolest luna I ever heard of and Max smiles and purse his lips lightly so that Meredith can kiss him.

Do you need something, hubby? She asks him in a very funny way, blinking her eyelashes at him.

Yes, I need a kiss. My mother told me when I was little that if I hurt myself and she would kiss me, I would get better, so I need a kiss! Max said, trying to laugh but his chest started to hurt immediately.

Then I must call mom, to wait for you at the packhouse if her kisses are enchanted. and Meredith is very serious.

There is no need for that, Max said looking straight into her eyes. Any kiss would work
