I have been writing since I was eight. I started out with poetry. Eventually, I moved on to short fantasy stories, then eventually books. I have always loved books, whether I was reading them or writing them. Books have always been a perfect escape from reality. When I was growing up, I admired authors and I always imagined I would eventually be one. The primary genre I write is fantasy romance. I love creating tough heroines and sexy vampires, werewolves, Fae, and every other supernatural creature I can come up with. I also write new adult romance when I am in the right mood. I want my readers to get the same joy from reading my stories that I do when I read some of my favorite authors.

The Dark Love Vampire Series - Ella Price

    Chapter 1

I woke up in the dark. I moved, but there wasn’t much space. I started to panic when I realized it was some type of coffin. The coffin opened and I bright light came shining in. I covered my eyes. My eyes were used to the dark; so the light hurt.

Alexander smile down at me. The memories of what happened leading up to now were foggy, but I remembered him putting the knife through my chest. I lunged at him knocking him backwards.

He easily tossed me against the wall. Oh calm down. The amused lilt in his voice was annoying.

You killed me! I lunged at him again.

He laughed as he dodged me. You look okay to me.

You staked me. You betrayed me. I should have never trusted you! I yelled angrily.

He sighed. You would be dead if it weren’t for me. The council had grand plans for your death. I saved you because now they think you are dead. You are safe now, thanks to me.

I thought about it. I was technically still alive. I looked around the room. It wasn’t the same room we had been in before. Where are we?

He smiled as he adjusted his shirt. We are in Maine. I have a house here. It’s a good place to hide out and you have to hide. The council thinks you are dead, and I would like to keep it that way.

Where are the others? Do they know I’m alive? I was worried about them. I didn’t know how much time had passed or if they were all okay.

He sighed. They are fine. They will be here soon I’m sure.

I nodded and realized I was really hungry. I could smell Alexander’s blood. I didn’t notice his scent until I relaxed a little. I looked at him and he looked amused. I know what you are thinking.

I narrowed my eyes at him. What?

You don’t get to feed on me love, not after our last little incident. I will provide you with a vampire. He moved slowly toward the door.

I scowled. I can hunt myself. I’ll go after humans since going after vampires is too obvious.

As you wish darling. Vampires must be volunteer only. He left me alone in the room.

I sat down on the bed. I looked at the coffin. It made me uneasy. He was going to have to get it out of my room. I cussed and stood. The sun was going down. It would be night soon. I needed fresh air. I wanted to go out and hunt. Sometimes I hated the urge; other times it was a welcome distraction.

I found clothes that were my size in the closet. Obviously, Alexander had planned for my stay. I dressed in a jean mini skirt and a light blue corset like shirt that accentuated my breasts. I wanted to look good. It made finding food a lot less work. I put high heels on and did my makeup. I looked in the mirror. There was no way any man would say no to me. Except Alexander of course. The fact that he rejected me was bothering me.

I scowled determined to forget about him. This was the second time he rejected me and I didn’t like it. I found my way to the staircase and walked downstairs. Alexander came out of one of the rooms as I reached the bottom of the stairs.

He was smiling as he sipped his drink. You look like you intend to kill someone tonight.

I smiled sweetly at him. I’m not going to kill anyone. I’m just going to have some fun.

He laughed. I would come with you, but I’m expecting company.

The way he smiled suggested he knew it bothered me. Have fun, I muttered, and then I turned and walked out. I didn’t understand why I was so angry. I was relieved to find his house was nestled right in the middle of downtown; so I wouldn’t have to walk far. I walked through town looking for a bar or a club. Somewhere where there was a bunch of drunk unsuspecting guys.

I found a small pub and walked inside. I caught many of the patron’s attention. Alexander lived in a tiny town where everyone knew everyone. I was sure having someone new arrive was exciting.

The bartender smiled as he approached me. What can I get you, baby?

    Surprise me, I said flirtatiously.

He laughed and nodded. He began making me a drink. I looked around and my gaze locked with another vampire. He was across the bar from me and he was watching me. I looked away pretending his presence didn’t bother me.

The bartender set a drink in front of me. How much? I asked playfully.

It’s on the house tonight doll. He winked at me.

Thank you. I smiled at him. He was looking like a good prospect. I would have to wait a while for him because people may notice if he disappeared.

The vampire from across the bar took a seat next to me. You’re on my turf.

I laughed. How exactly are you going to start a turf war? There’s enough for all of us darling.

He smiled. He was good looking. He was dark haired and he had light gray eyes. He was wearing a leather jacket and he had the biker bad boy look going on. We don’t get many new faces around here, especially not good looking ones.

I smiled. Are you welcoming me then?

He smiled. It depends on what you have to offer.

Oh I have a lot to offer you. The question is what do you have to offer me? I asked playfully.

He smiled then downed his drink. I’ll be out back if you are interested. He stood up and walked out of the bar.

I was beginning to wonder if Alexander sent him. Part of me wanted to go find him and the other part wanted to be stubborn. Human blood was good, but it was nothing like vampire blood. I relented and downed my drink. I walked out of the pub and walked down the alley next to the place.

I was suddenly pinned to the wall. He wasn’t being very gentle about it either. If I was human the force he used would really hurt. Mmm, you’re going to be rough I see.

I heard that’s how you like it, he whispered. He was inches from my face and I felt the hunger hit me as I caught the scent of his blood.

I smiled. So Alexander did send you?

Let’s just say I was made aware of your presence in town. He traced my breasts with his fingers.

I ran my fingers through his unruly dark hair. Tell me your name.

His eyes changed as soon as I spoke. Jack. He sounded almost as if he was in a trance. I suddenly realized I compelled him. It was the same trick vampires used on humans. I compelled the vampires I had made, like Rick. I never tried it on a vampire I didn’t have a link with.

I was excited to find I had a new ability. Tell me about Alexander. How do you know him?

He answered without hesitation. He’s my maker.

Oh, did he give you any orders? I wanted to know what Alexander’s plan was; now I had a way of finding out.

He said to get you to feed on me. He didn’t want you going elsewhere. Just as he finished speaking he cried out and grabbed his head.

Isabella, you’re crossing a line, Alexander growled.

I spun around. He was standing behind me and he looked furious. I smiled. And you never cross lines do you?

Jack lunged at me and I caught him by his throat. His hands went to his throat as he tried to pry my hand off. I lifted him off his feet to make my point.

Alexander stepped forward. Put him down.

I laughed. I’m not afraid of you, I snarled as I squeezed Jack’s throat tighter.

This is between you and me, Isabella. Let Jack go! He stepped forward again.

I rolled my eyes and dropped Jack. He scurried away from me and moved toward Alexander and safety. Leave me alone, and stop sending vampires to babysit me.

Alexander scowled. I don’t trust you not to break my rules. If you hunt vampires you will die. I would much rather you take the offering.

I won’t break your rules. You’ll have to trust me like I have to trust you, I snapped and went to walk past him.

He caught my arm and pulled me to him. Don’t let me down, and do not brainwash my vampires.

I brushed my lips against his. Agreed, I whispered and continued on my way. I found the local park and decided to see if I could find a straggler.

Bella, wait up, a male voice called.

I turned and Jack caught up to me. I smiled. I thought you ran away.

He shrugged. I did. I didn’t want to be in the middle of one of Alexander’s fights. I will still feed you if you’re interested.

I laughed. Why do you want to feed me so bad?

He smiled nervously. I’ve heard it can be good, really good.

I stopped walking and he stopped with me. I pushed him down onto a park bench and he looked at me unsure. I straddled him and pressed my lips to his. He groaned as I kissed him anticipating the taste of his blood. I pulled the collar of his jacket back exposing his neck. I sank my fangs into the soft flesh of his neck and his thick blood filled my mouth. It felt like it had been days since I last ate. He cried out as I fed. I felt his erection straining against his pants and I imagined being with him. I wanted to know if I could do with him what I did with Alexander. The feeling suddenly washed over me and I released his neck reveling in the sensations. Jack suddenly sat up and pinned me to the soft grass. His fangs sank into the soft flesh of my breast making me gasp. He cried out and jerked and I knew he was releasing like I had.

He rolled so he was flat on his back looking up at the sky. I giggled as I laid next to him. That was fun.

His eyes were hazy and he slowly sat up. Wow. That was crazy. He sounded a little out of it as he spoke.

I was about to speak, but I caught a scent. It was Nicolai. I stood up excitedly. I wanted to be near him. I felt a sudden rush of wind and I was in front of him in the foyer of Alexander’s house. Nicolai looked startled. I didn’t really even know what happened. It was like I was transported. Nicolai did it before, but I never had.

    Holy shit, Rick muttered.

I lunged at Nicolai throwing my arms around his neck. He hugged me stiffly. I missed you.

I missed you too, Bella. He didn’t sound as happy as I wanted him to.

It seems she is figuring out several new tricks, Alexander said dryly.

I glared at him then brought my attention back to Nicolai. I ran my fingers through his hair.

What other new powers? Nicolai asked quietly. I hated that Alexander was distracting him. I was really beginning to get annoyed. I imagined my bedroom upstairs and before anyone could speak there was another rush of wind and I was pinning Nicolai to the bed.

He looked startled. Bella stop! he ordered.

Why? I pouted. I want to see you and they are distracting you.

He laughed harshly. This is not a joke Bella. This is serious. He pushed me off him and stood.

I scowled. I can’t control what I am. Why are you trying to control it? Why can’t you just be with me? I hated how everyone was treating me like a monster. I wasn’t a monster. I didn’t choose this, but he didn’t seem to understand that.

You are too powerful. Too much power can be deadly and you don’t seem to understand that. You have to control it. You have to stop this! he growled.

I was furious. He was treating me like I was doing something wrong. He had been acting like this since my mother had Rita bring me back. Get out! I snapped. I had no clue how to control it and he was acting like I did.

He watched me for a second. His eyes were blazing. He turned on his heel without saying anything else and left me sitting on the bed.

I flopped down on the bed and looked at the ceiling. I was so angry I could barely handle it. I heard my door open and I smiled. I could smell him before he even touched my bed.

Rick crawled onto the bed and positioned himself over me; so he was looking down at me. You called.

    I giggled. I don’t remember calling you.

You never do. He brushed his lips against mine.

I deepened the kiss enjoying the taste of his mouth. It seemed like it had been so long since we had been together. I missed you.

I missed you too. I like this outfit. The glint in his eye suggested he really liked the outfit.

I smiled. I like you naked.

He kissed me gently. I can arrange that. He stood up and began to undress. I sat up and kicked my shoes off as I watched him undress. If Nicolai wouldn’t keep me company I knew Rick would.

How is Matt, Joseph and Gabriel? I asked as I watched him undress. I left him in charge of them. I knew he would take care of them. Rick was one of the few I trusted completely.

Good. It’s been hell trying to keep the werevamps out of trouble, and Gabriel is still very touchy. He climbed back on the bed and settled over me. Let’s forget about everyone else, he whispered and pressed his lips to mine.

    I giggled. I agree.

    Chapter 2

I woke up next to Rick. He was still asleep. I sat up and the door opened. Gabriel came in. He gave me a small smile. Can I talk to you, Bella?

I nodded and stood. I put a robe on and followed him out into the hall. What’s up Gabriel?

He looked around nervously. They are talking about you. I overheard them talking about putting a spell on the house so you couldn’t leave. They said you are getting too powerful.

I was furious, but Gabriel looked like he was on the edge and I didn’t want to scare him. It’s ok Gabriel. I’ll take care of this. Why don’t you go find Matt and Joseph? Tell them to stick close I might need them.

He nodded and walked down the hall. I walked back in the room and Rick sat up in the bed. Whoa you’re pissed off. You want to tell me why?

They are making plans to put a spell on me to trap me in the house. Nicolai has it in his head that I’m too powerful. I stripped my robe off and walked into the bathroom. I started the shower and stepped in.

Rick climbed in behind me. What’s your plan?

I glanced at him. I’m going to fight and we are going to leave. You, me Matt, Joseph, and Gabriel. We will find a place of our own.

He looked unsure. Going up against witches is tough. You have an advantage because you’re part witch yourself. All you have to remember is that magic is just energy. Each witch has his or her own energy. There are normally at least three sometimes more witches per spell. It really all depends on the strength of the spell.

I smiled and leaned into him. I’m glad I have you. He was the only one that ever truly stuck by me.

I dressed in a pair of jeans and a flashy tank top. Rick, Gabriel, Joseph and Matt were all in the room. The plan was to leave the house tonight.

Rick moved up behind me and wrapped his arms around me. The only thing that sucks is this town is crawling with supernatural people. That’s why Alexander lives here. James’s pack is here as well. He’s having a party and people have already started arriving. I’m pretty sure it is just a show of force though.

I nodded and smiled. I’m sure we’ll be fine. My only concern is where we are going to go.

Matt raised his hand jumping up and down. I have a house. Well it used to be my grandfather’s, but he gave it to me before he died. It needs to be cleaned, but it will work.

I smiled. That sounds like a plan. I was acting confident, but I was unsure. I didn’t want to do this, but I refused to be kept like a caged animal because they were afraid of me. I’d been betrayed by most of them. I needed to move on and clear my head. Ready? I asked once I took one last look in the mirror.

They all nodded. I walked out of the room toward the stairs ready for a fight. The others followed. I could tell they were tense, but they were faithful to me and that thought made me stronger.

I stood at the top of the stairs and surveyed the foyer below me. Alexander and Nicolai stood together near the bottom of the stairs. A red headed girl about my age was standing next to Nicolai holding his arm. I knew she wasn’t a vampire. I was pretty sure she was a witch. I pushed the jealousy away. There was no place for it right now. Once I was free, I would worry about being jealous. They looked up at me as I began to descend the stairs. There were people everywhere. I saw my mother and father. William and James weren’t far either. My main attention went to Rita because I knew she would be one of the witches involved in the spell.

I stopped just before the last stair. I could feel the energy. There was a barrier and I felt the anger begin to boil inside me. What is this? I asked feigning ignorance.

It’s for your own good, Bella, Nicolai wouldn’t meet my gaze as he spoke. He had to know I wasn’t going to just be okay with this.

I laughed. You think a barrier spell is going to stop me from leaving?

There is no way around it Isabella. You are out of control. It was a necessary measure, Rita said softly.

I looked at her and stepped down one more stair so I was closer to the barrier. I focused on it and I could feel the energy like Rick said. Four witches were controlling it and they were all present. I was thrilled when I realized one of the witches was the girl on Nicolai’s arm. I
