To every parent who has preceded me or will come after and uttered the words children should come with a manual
or it’s not like they came with a manual
. To every parent who has done or is trying to do the best they know how, with their child, and felt unsure if it was right or enough.
To every grandparent able to see their mistakes, by watching their child interact with the grandchildren, and mimicking what they learned from you.
My hope is that this little book will be of assistance, encouragement and comfort.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 Every scripture is God breathed and righteousness that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Psalm 9:10 Those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.
Preface
Children actually do come with a manual, and a guide on its use. The manual is the Holy bible, and the guide is the Holy Spirit.
Like most manuals, often they are not opened and read until there is a problem. If you are like most of us, when we get something new we just start using or enjoying it, before we have read the manual to understand what it requires to keep it at maximum performance.
Often by the time we read it, we have made mistakes, gotten frustrated, experienced hurt and or fear, regrets…and the list goes on. We are encouraged to train up, love, discipline, and forgive our children at the least, the manual they come with helps us to know the right way to do that.
This little book is intended to highlight some of the things we are to teach them and how to find the help we need, it will also contain some specific scriptures to help and how they apply. My hope is that
