Author

Laura Jean Ewing

Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Laura J. Ewing was delivered and set free from alcohol and drugs in February in 1999. What I admire most of all about her is her love for the Lord and the faith that God has blessed her with. As she searched for more of God through a lot of fasting, praying and meditating, He gave her a vision. Part of this vision was the book; Healing Through God, From My Inner Wounded Child which is one of the books the Lord has given to her. She was asked to chair a women N.A. meeting at the county jail in 2001, which she is currently still doing, shares her story (testimony) in churches, treatment centers, banquets and missions for the homeless. She has also opened her home as a stepping stone to women coming out of treatment centers. If you would like for her to speak for you, you may request an appointment at (616) 458-2620.

    Dedication

This book is dedicated to every believer whom God has called to the healing of the inner wounded child. There are many of us learning to love ourselves through Christ Jesus. It is especially dedicated to women all over the world who are searching, wanting to know how to find that peace that is missing. That peace is the inner child that became wounded and lost through the tragedies in their lives, which God can and will restore.

This book is also dedicated to the women who have been such a strong inspiration in my own life: to my prayer warriors Robin James, Joann Cox, Cathy Braylock, Hazel Sims, Linda Balton, Belinda Stanley, Gretta Sanders, Dana Staten and Judy Gordon. You have truly seen me through.

    Foreword

I believe my book to be an inspiration from the Holy Spirit. I feel that it is for men and women who desire to be healed and delivered by God from the wounds of the child within. There is truly healing and deliverance in the name of Jesus! Believe!

    Receive your miracle now!

    Introduction

Sometimes we feel abandoned, unloved, not safe or like we are losing our identity. Some of us may have suffered through the storms of physical, emotional and sexual abuse. We may have been abused at school or in church, and as a result of all of these events in our lives we suffer from toxic shame.

Mark, chapter10, verses13 and 16 say, And they brought young children to him that he should touch them; and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. He took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

We grow up with parents that were just doing what they were taught. Often they do not know how to be parents themselves. Children do learn what they live, so parents do things based on the experience of what was done to them.

There is a silent cry that only Jesus can hear. Children awaken my own sense of self when I seen them hurting, struggling and testing or when I am watching their eyes and listening to their hearts. Children are gifts from God, if we will accept them.

Children look at the world and us with fresh eyes, and their attitudes are free of cynicism. Children’s hearts are open, and they have the ability to react spontaneously to the events in their lives. What they feel is who they are. Close observation can help us.

A child’s simple honesty can serve us well, and a child will instinctively trust those who take care of him or her. God says in His word that we must humble ourselves as little children to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. There is healing and deliverance in God, and God desires to heal the child inside of us that has been wounded and hurt—the child that no longer trusts.

    Prayer

    Dear Heavenly Father,

Lord, we come in your dear son Jesus’ name, asking for forgiveness of all the sins we have committed, in mind, in thought and in deed. Father,
