    INTRODUCTION

As seen in the scriptures, names have been a powerful tool in directing the destiny of many. In biblical history, parents considered the circumstances surrounding the birth of a child when giving that child a name. Some parents carried out this act with careful consideration, while others, unfortunately, were not equally attentive to its effect on their newborn’s destiny.

And God said unto Abraham, ‘As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.’

    -Genesis 17:15, KJV-

God had a great destiny for Abraham and his wife, Sarah, and if He needed to change their names beforehand, it must have been crucial to fulfilling His promises in their
