    Chapter 1: The Background

    I

f you have ever wondered what forces are behind the events that happened in your life or even the ones that happened in the world, this book will give you another perspective and insight into the events. In this book, I cover the Interplanetary affects, starting from the very basics and taking you with me to more advanced ones. I have consciously avoided calling this an astrological book because I have discarded a large number of the popular Astrological concepts over the years after diligent research. The only concept that has sustained intensive enquiry is that of Interplanetary Relationships, specifically five geometric and eleven entities.

I was born in Nairobi, Kenya. My parents were from Gujarat, India and immigrated to Kenya. I was the sixth of seven siblings. My secondary education was in Kenya, and at age seventeen, I emigrated to the United Kingdom and graduated as a Dental Surgeon. I was blessed with a successful career and retired in 2015, aged fifty-eight. I am divorced and have two daughters and four grandchildren. I enjoy badminton, music, dance, food and travel. My reading interests are Theosophy and Astrology.

At the age of twelve, I was fortunate enough to have come across several books that impacted me. These were Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramhansa Yogananda, a best seller in USA in its time. Transits by Reinhold Ebertin, which was a reference book for me, and The Holy Science by Swami Sri Yukteswar.

I also read almost all books authored by Bhagwan Shree Sathya Sai Baba. All these books had a tremendous influence on my life, my philosophy and my thinking. These books introduced a fourth (and fifth and sixth) dimension to my three-dimensional world. It was not only what was written in the lines in these books, but also what I managed to intuit that was in between the lines that I found stimulating. There was always a high frequency of cynicism about the content I was exposed to. The cynicism disappeared over the years as I undertook research and study in my limited way. In this work, I present, in a simple format, the main insights I gained into Planetary Interactions. This was a very stimulating journey. I also share with you the tools I used to make my pursuit fulfilling. As mentioned earlier that I was able to intuit what was between the lines in the writings of some great beings. This intuition was profound that study into Interplanetary relationships had the potential to offer immense insights to mankind. Predicting is not as important as it is to understand what has happened in an event and being able to get insights for problem-solving. In my early years, I made a cynical case that astrology was just a well-structured probability system that was supported passively by a statistical basis. To understand this simply, let me explain this with an example: let’s say, someone in the United Kingdom was contemplating marriage in the 1980s, and they wanted to do a risk analysis of the adventure. They would come across the well-known statistic that 40% of marriages end up in divorce. So, you need no insights into planets to say 40% of marriages will end up in divorce at some point. But the statistic gives no insight into which 40% will end up in divorce, and further, the statistic gives no indication as to when the divorce can happen. And hypothetically, if someone predicted a difficult marriage for ten random couples, there was a good chance there would be 40% right. But, if you study planetary interactions and make forecasts for 10 specific couples afflicted with adverse planetary interactions, the success rate for the prediction has to be a lot more than 40%, before one
