    Chapter 1: Astrology Basics

1.1 As Above, so Below: The Zodiac System

How can one accurately calculate the positions of planets in the sky for the purposes of astrology?

To calculate planetary positions for astrological purposes, one can generate a natal chart wheel using free chart generating websites such as Astro.com - Extended Chart Selection . By inputting your birth data and selecting the Round tab, you can generate and view your chart.

In the section covering the Zodiac and houses, there are several options available.

The Zodiac refers to the band of the sky divided into twelve sections, each named after a constellation. This configuration serves as a useful reference point for locating and studying celestial objects in the sky, with each division being connected to a particular sign.

A constellation is a recognizable pattern of stars often named after a mythological figure or creature. The stars that make up a constellation are not physically close to one another in space but appear so in the sky because of their similar distances from Earth and relative position. There are 88 officially recognized constellations in modern astronomy, with numerous cultural groups throughout history having named them. Some well-known constellations include Orion, Cassiopeia, Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, Draco, Cygnus, Triangulum, Andromeda, Perseus, Pegasus, Cetus, Aquila, Lyra, Hercules, Corona Borealis, Bootes, Delphinus, Crater, Sextans, Coma Berenices, and Centaurus.

The Zodiac constellations are a subset of the 88 constellations and are a set of twelve constellations aligned along the ecliptic, the path of the Sun across the sky. Each of these constellations is connected to a particular sign in astrology. The twelve Zodiac constellations are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces.

The two primary zodiac systems commonly utilized are the Tropical and the Sidereal. The Tropical zodiac is founded on the Sun's location relative to the Earth's equator, with 12 equal 30-degree segments referred to as the signs of the zodiac, commonly used in Western astrology. The Tropical zodiac is often seen as a Geocentric system, meaning it is based on the Sun's position relative to the Earth. However, a Heliocentric (sun-centered) perspective can also be employed to interpret the Tropical zodiac, considering the Earth's location relative to the Sun, providing an alternative view of the astrological chart.

Both the Geocentric and Heliocentric perspectives offer distinct interpretations and insights into the astrological chart, and astrologers use them to gain a more profound comprehension of an individual's chart.

The Sidereal zodiac, on the other hand, is based on the position of the stars relative to the Earth. It is used in Hindu astrology, Jyotish and is divided into 12 segments, called the rashi. The signs are Mesha (Aries), Vrishabha (Taurus), Mithuna (Gemini), Karka (Cancer), Simha (Leo), Kanya (Virgo), Tula (Libra), Vrishchika (Scorpio), Dhanu (Sagittarius), Makara (Capricorn), Kumbha (Aquarius) and Meena (Pisces).

Once you select the Sidereal zodiac, then you have to choose the Ayanamsha. The Ayanamsha is the precessional distance regarding the precession of the equinoxes. The most accurate Ayanamshas are Hindu/Lahiri and Chitra-Paksha or true Citra.

Finally, the Draconic zodiac, also called the Nodal zodiac, is a zodiac system based on the lunar nodes' position, where the Moon's orbit intersects the ecliptic (the path of the Sun in the sky). Although it is less prevalent than the Tropical and Sidereal zodiacs, some astrologers consider it a valuable addition to the astrological chart.

Planets may be situated in different constellations depending on the method used. Let’s have a look at Prince Harry’s placements.

Both zodiacs can be calculated with or without taking into account the light-time correction, which factors in the time taken for light to travel from a planet to an observer, affecting the planet's apparent position as seen from Earth. This correction is particularly important for outer planets such as Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, as well as distant asteroids. Astrologers who prioritize accuracy generally prefer to incorporate the light-time correction, and we have chosen to adopt this approach. Failing to apply this correction may result in slightly imprecise positions of these celestial bodies, potentially impacting the interpretation of the chart.

Which zodiac best describes the personality traits and life experiences of an individual? Both the Tropical and Sidereal zodiac systems are used in astrology, but neither is considered more accurate in describing personality traits and life experiences. It is up to the individual to determine which system resonates better.

    . . .

In astrology, the zodiac signs are the 12 segments of the ecliptic, or the path of the Sun in the sky, that are divided by the constellations. Each zodiac sign is associated with a specific set of characteristics and traits, and is said to indicate the individual's personality and behavior.

    The 12 zodiac signs are:

Aries: the first sign of the zodiac, associated with the fire element, and is said to indicate a strong sense of self, independence, and impulsiveness.

Taurus: the second sign of the zodiac, associated with the earth element, and is said to indicate a strong sense of practicality, stability, and determination.

Gemini: the third sign of the zodiac, associated with the air element, and is said to indicate a quick mind, adaptability, and sociability.

Cancer: the fourth sign of the zodiac, associated with the water element, and is said to indicate a strong sense of emotion, intuition, and sensitivity.

Leo: the fifth sign of the zodiac, associated with the fire element, and is said to indicate a strong sense of self-confidence, creativity, and leadership.

Virgo: the sixth sign of the zodiac, associated with the earth element, and is said to indicate a strong sense of practicality, attention to detail, and hard work.

Libra: the seventh sign of the zodiac, associated with the air element, and is said to indicate a strong sense of diplomacy, balance, and harmony.

Scorpio: the eight sign of the zodiac, associated with the water element, and is said to indicate a strong sense of passion and intensity.

Sagittarius: the ninth sign of the zodiac, associated with the fire element, and is said to indicate a strong sense of adventure, optimism, and philosophy.

Capricorn: the tenth sign of the zodiac, associated with the earth element, and is said to indicate a strong sense of responsibility, ambition, and practicality.

Aquarius: the eleventh sign of the zodiac, associated with the air element, and is said to indicate a strong sense of individuality, innovation, and humanitarianism.

Pisces: the twelfth sign of the zodiac, associated with the water element, and is said to indicate a strong sense of emotion, intuition, and spiritual sensitivity.

Each zodiac sign in astrology is associated with a planet, referred to as its ruler, lord, or ruling planet. The ruling planet represents the energies and characteristics associated with that sign, and astrologers consider it the manager of the sign in a birth chart. The ruler helps determine how an individual experiences the themes and matters represented by that sign.

Here is the list of the zodiac signs along with their traditional rulers:

Aries: ruled by Mars. Mars is the planet of action, energy, and drive, and is associated with qualities such as determination, courage, and a strong will. These qualities are thought to be characteristic of those born under the sign of Aries, who are known for their bold and energetic personalities and their love of taking risks and embracing challenges.

Taurus: ruled by Venus. Venus is the planet of love, beauty, and harmony, and is associated with qualities such as sensuality, comfort, and a love of luxury. These qualities are thought to be characteristic of those born under the sign of Taurus, who are known for their practical and reliable personalities and their appreciation of the finer things in life.

Gemini: ruled by Mercury. Mercury is the planet of communication, intellect, and adaptability, and is associated with qualities such as intelligence, versatility, and a quick wit. Scorpio: ruled by Mars. Mars is the planet of action, energy, and drive, and is associated with qualities such as determination, passion, and a strong will. These qualities are thought to be characteristic of those born under the sign of Scorpio, who are known for their intense and powerful personalities.

Sagittarius: ruled by Jupiter. The planet Jupiter is associated with expansion, abundance, optimism, and a sense of adventure, which are all qualities that are thought to be characteristic of those born under the sign of Sagittarius.

Capricorn: ruled by Saturn. Saturn is associated with discipline, responsibility, hard work, and structure. These are all qualities that are often associated with Capricorn. Capricorns tend to be ambitious and focused on their goals, and they are known for their persistence and determination. They also tend to be practical and organized, which are qualities that are often associated with Saturn.

Aquarius: ruled by Saturn. Aquarians are known for their forward-thinking and unconventional ideas, but they also tend to be rational and logical. Saturn's influence on Aquarius is believed to provide a grounding effect to the sign, helping them to balance their revolutionary ideas with practicality and discipline.

Pisces: ruled by Jupiter. Pisces is a water sign that is known for its emotional depth, sensitivity, and intuition. Pisces is also associated with spirituality and the imagination. Jupiter's influence on Pisces is believed to enhance these qualities, as well as bring a sense of optimism, generosity, and compassion to the sign.

Both Western Astrology and Vedic Astrology use this list of zodiac signs and their ruling planets.

    1.2 The House System

While the position of solar system planets in the 12 constellations of the zodiac is real and observable, the positions of planets in houses have been completely invented by astrologers and are not based on astronomical observations. This is why popular website Astro.com only provides two main methods for calculating planetary positions in constellations (Tropical and Sidereal), while there are over 20 house systems.

The house system in astrology divides the sky into 12 equal parts, called houses, to map the positions of celestial bodies at the time of a person's birth. Each house represents a specific area of life and the positions of celestial bodies within these houses are thought to indicate the areas of life that they will influence. All house systems are based on the Ascendant, which is used to determine the first house.

The Ascendant, also known as the rising sign, is the zodiac sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the time of a person's birth. The Ascendant is calculated by finding the point where the ecliptic (the apparent path of the Sun through the sky) intersects with the eastern horizon at the time of birth.

The first house system created by ancient astrologers was the Whole house system. This system considers the entire zodiac sign containing the Ascendant as the first house, with the following sign as the second house, and so on. Each house is assigned a sign in zodiacal order and covers 30 degrees. So in the Whole house system, it does not matter which degree the Ascendant is, that sign will always correspond to the first house.

From the Whole house system, two other house systems have evolved:

The Equal house system. In this system, the first house starts at the exact degree of the Ascendant and last for 30-degree. If the Ascendant is at 17 degree Capricorn, the first house starts there and finish at 17 degree of the following sign (Aquarius). Each house spans 30 degrees of the zodiac. All the planets positioned in this range fall in the first house.

The Vehlow house system. In this system, the Ascendant is exactly in the middle of first house. If the Ascendant is at 17 degree Capricorn, the first house starts 15 degree before (2 degree) and finishes after 15 degree (2 degree Aquarius) Each house spans 30 degrees of the zodiac. All the planets positioned in this range fall in the first house.

The default option chosen by Astro.com is the Placidus house system which was developed by the 17th-century astrologer Placidus de Tito and is more complex than previous house systems. While the first house starts at the exact degree of the Ascendant like the Equal house system, the other houses may start at different degrees, and each house may have a different size.

Let's examine Prince Harry’s placements in different house systems under the Western/Tropical zodiac.

    Sidereal/Lahiri.

In the realm of astrology, a cusp signifies the initial point or dividing line between two houses in a natal chart. The zodiac sign located on the cusp provides valuable information about how an individual views and approaches the areas of life governed by the particular house. These life domains could include but are not limited to, relationships, career, home, and family.

While all house systems are utilized in astrology, none of them are deemed more precise in characterizing an individual's personality traits and life experiences. The way planets' locations in the houses are interpreted is a matter of personal opinion. Therefore, it is up to the individual to decide which system aligns with their values and yields the most valuable insights.

    . . .

To investigate personality, an exact time of birth is not always necessary as planets change signs slowly. However, if you want to accurately interpret an individual's life experience and material outcome, you need it.

The Ascendant, a crucial point in a birth chart, changes signs approximately every two hours due to the Earth's rotation and the movement of the ecliptic in relation to the horizon. Therefore, the Ascendant can be in any of the 12 zodiac signs, depending on the time of birth.

The exact moment of birth is usually considered to be when a baby takes their first breath after being fully expelled from the mother's womb. However, the recorded time of birth may not always be accurate as doctors and nurses may not record this exact moment, resulting in a possible discrepancy of up to an hour. Hence, it is important to acknowledge that one's recorded time of birth may not be precise. Due to inaccurate birth times, many beginners may not recognize their personality traits as depicted in the zodiac signs and houses.

Astrologers employ various techniques to determine and rectify the exact time of birth. One approach involves examining significant life events such as marriage, childbirth, relocation, or graduation and comparing them with the planetary positions in the chart to estimate the most probable time of birth. Another method involves analyzing an individual's personality and behavior and matching them with the planetary positions in the chart.

To ensure an accurate reading, a professional astrologer must verify the precise time of birth before analyzing a chart. Without it, they can only assess an individual's personality and not their life experiences.

1.3 The Meaning of Planets in Astrology

Astrology regards planets as symbols of different human experiences, and their positions in an individual's birth chart are believed to indicate their personality traits, strengths, weaknesses, and potentials. Each planet is associated with specific meanings and symbolism that influences different aspects of life. Below are some common associations of the traditional solar system planets in astrology:

The Sun: The Sun symbolizes the ego, self, vitality, and an individual's sense of purpose. It represents the fundamental essence of the individual, their core motivations, and drives. A well-placed Sun in a natal chart is associated with confidence, a strong sense of self, and an assertive personality.

The Moon: The Moon symbolizes emotions, feelings, and the unconscious mind. It represents an individual's sense of security and their instinctual reactions to the world around them. A prominent Moon in a natal chart is associated with emotional depth, empathy, and sensitivity.

Mercury: Mercury symbolizes the mind, communication, and an individual's ability to adapt and learn. It represents an individual's intellectual capabilities and the way they communicate with others. A strong Mercury in a natal chart is associated with intelligence, wit, and excellent communication skills.

Venus: Venus symbolizes love, harmony, and an individual's sense of beauty and pleasure. It represents an individual's romantic relationships, as well as their appreciation for art and aesthetics. A prominent Venus in a natal chart is associated with charm, grace, and a love of beauty.

Mars: Mars symbolizes energy, drive, and an individual's ability to take action. It represents an individual's willpower, ambition, and sex drive. A well-placed Mars in a natal chart is associated with assertiveness, courage, and determination.

Jupiter: Jupiter symbolizes luck, expansion, and an individual's sense of faith and optimism. It represents an individual's potential for growth and success. A strong Jupiter in a natal chart is associated with abundance, generosity, and a positive outlook on life.

Saturn: Saturn symbolizes structure, discipline, and an individual's sense of responsibility. It represents an individual's ability to set boundaries and their work ethic. A strong Saturn in a natal chart is associated with discipline, maturity, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Uranus: Uranus symbolizes change, rebellion, and an individual's sense of individuality. It represents an individual's desire for independence and their need to break free from convention. A strong Uranus in a natal chart is associated with originality, innovation, and a strong sense of individuality.

Neptune: Neptune symbolizes spirituality, imagination, and an individual's sense of transcendence. It represents an individual's ability to connect with the divine and their spiritual side. A strong Neptune in a natal chart is associated with creativity, intuition, and sensitivity.

Pluto: Pluto symbolizes power, transformation, and an individual's sense of regeneration and rebirth. It represents an individual's ability to overcome challenges and their potential for transformation. A strong Pluto in a natal chart is associated with resilience, intensity, and a strong willpower.

Although not physical planets, the Lunar Nodes are essential points in the sky. In Western astrology, they represent life lessons and karmic destiny. The North Node indicates our destiny and what we should pursue in this lifetime, while the South Node represents past life experiences and habits that may hinder our progress.

In Vedic astrology, the Lunar Nodes are called Rahu and Ketu, and they are regarded as shadow planets. They are associated with obscurities and illusions, representing the material and spiritual paths in life. Rahu/North Node represents worldly desires and material pursuits, while Ketu/South Node represents spirituality, enlightenment, and detachment from material desires.

We use the Vedic astrology interpretation for the Lunar Nodes.

The calculation of lunar nodes may be either exact or mean, depending on the purpose and context of the calculation. In astronomy and astrophysics, the calculation of lunar nodes is based on precise mathematical models that consider the complex interactions between the Moon, Earth, and other celestial bodies. In astrology, the calculation of lunar nodes often employs simpler, more symbolic models that use average or mean values for the nodes' positions. These mean values are based on the average rate of motion of the Moon's orbit around the Earth and are used to establish the lunar node axis.

Tropical astrologers may consider a number of asteroids to gain more insight about personality, especially if they conjunct to planets:

Chiron is considered to be a wounded healer and is associated with healing, teaching, and mentoring.

Ceres: is considered to be the asteroid of nurturing, and is associated with the mother, the home, and the relationship with food and nourishment.

Pallas Athena: is considered to be the asteroid of wisdom, and is associated with creativity, intelligence, and strategy.

Juno: is considered to be the asteroid of commitment, and is associated with the relationship, and the concept of marriage.

Vesta: is considered to be the asteroid of devotion, and is associated with the sacred and the spiritual, and the concept of service.

Lilith: is considered to be the asteroid of the dark feminine, and is associated with taboo, secrecy, and taboo sexuality.

Eros: is considered to be the asteroid of love, and is associated with the sexual and romantic attraction.

Psyche: is considered to be the asteroid of the soul and is associated with the inner self, the self-esteem and the self-worth.

Hygeia: is considered to be the asteroid of health, and is associated with the overall well-being and the physical health.

Vedic astrologers do not consider asteroids and outer planet (Pluto, Neptune, Uranus), but they use a number of other astrological bodies, the upagrahas:

Dhuma: is associated with the individual's health and well-being and ability to overcome obstacles and challenges in life.

Vyatipata: is considered to be the planet of separation, and is said to indicate issues related to the individual's relationships, especially in terms of separation or conflict.

Parivesha: is considered to be the planet of enclosure, and is said to indicate issues related to the individual's finances and material possessions.

Indrachapa: is considered to be the planet of thunder, and is said to indicate issues related to the individual's power and authority.

Upaketu: is considered to be the planet of the solar eclipse, and is said to indicate issues related to the individual's spiritual growth and self-realization.

Again upagraha may have relevance if they conjunct a planet. Astro.com does not calculate upagrahas, but includes asteroids.

    1.4 The Meaning of Houses

In astrology, houses are one of the fundamental components of an astrological chart, and they represent different areas of life or experiences. The houses are determined by the exact time and location of a person's birth, and they correspond to the placement of the zodiac signs around the earth at that moment.

The meanings of the houses in astrology have been developed over thousands of years and have been influenced by many different factors, including cultural beliefs and astrological traditions. There is a lack of clarity about the meaning of houses in astrology. Each top astrologer has their own interpretation, and many simply offer a list of meanings without explaining the reasons behind them.

To better understand the meaning of houses, it is helpful to provide separate descriptions for children and adults.

The first house in astrology represents birth and the start of life. The experience of childbirth can vary, depending on the conditions of the first house at the time of birth. Typically, the presence of Saturn and/or the South Node/Ketu in the first house indicates a challenging delivery.

The first house in astrology also offers insights into a baby's physical structure and personality. This includes information about the baby's health and well-being, as well as clues about their physical appearance.

Right after birth, the newborn requires material, physical and emotional support from its caregivers, including nourishment, warmth, comfort, and bonding. This support is described by the second house, which is located below the first house.

Once a child begins walking and interacting with siblings and peers, they engage in social and play-based activities. This stage of development is crucial, as it's when children start to develop communication and social skills. Through interactions with others, they learn how to share, take turns, and cooperate, which are valuable social skills that will serve them well throughout their lives. The environment and behavior of children during this stage of development is represented by the third house in astrology.

The fourth house in astrology is associated with emotions and the innermost feelings of the child. It therefore represents the relationship between the child and their parents, particularly the mother, which provides emotional security and a sense of safety for the child.

When the child reaches school age, the fourth house in astrology offers insights into their educational path and learning process.

The life of a child, until completes mandatory education, is largely described by the first four houses along with the condition and character of their significators, which are Mars and Sun for the the first, Venus for the second, Mercury for the third and the Moon for the fourth. Additionally, Saturn provides information about the child's tendencies towards resistance.

In adulthood, the first house in a birth chart represents the physical body and its vitality, the individual's overall appearance, health, personality, and outlook on life, as well as their ability to initiate and take action. A strong first house may indicate a confident and self-assured personality, a strong physical presence, and a sense of control over one's life. A weak or afflicted first house could indicate a lack of confidence, self-esteem issues, and difficulty in asserting oneself.

The second house, located below the first house, represents the support system for the overall individual. This includes aspects such as food and nutrition, family and friends material support, personal wealth and possessions, etc. A strong second house may indicate financial stability, material comfort, and a sense of security in possessions and wealth. On the other hand, a weak or afflicted second house could indicate financial instability and difficulties in acquiring and retaining wealth.

In astrology, the third house represents intelligence, ambition, courage, willpower, lust, reasoning ability, communication skills, proficiency in performing tasks, competitiveness, and the ability to run a business, among other qualities. A strong third house may indicate excellent communication skills and a sharp and curious mind. Individuals with a strong third house are often quick thinkers, have a good memory, and are able to express themselves effectively. On the other hand, a weak or afflicted third house could indicate difficulties in expressing oneself, a lack of clarity in communication, and difficulties in relationships with siblings or neighbors. It may also suggest a tendency to struggle with decision making and mental clarity.

The fourth house in astrology represents the individual's private life, emotional security and stability, relationship with parents, particularly the mother, the home or property they live in or own, roots, connection to their hometown and country, social security, foundational education that leads to a profession, and retirement. A strong fourth house in a birth chart is associated with stability, grounding, and a strong sense of security. Individuals may have emotional depth, and a deep connection with their heritage. On the other hand, a weak or afflicted fourth house could indicate that the individual may struggle to establish a sense of security and stability in their life, or may have experienced instability and disruption in their childhood. They may also struggle with feelings of loneliness and disconnection. A weak fourth house may also indicate difficulties in finding a stable and secure home.

The first four houses in a birth chart mainly pertain to the individual's private life. Beginning with the fifth house, the individual begins to make contributions to the lives of others, including the marriage partner, which are represented by the seventh house.

The fifth house represents intelligence, creativity, children, love, games, artistic performance, drama, literary genius, accomplishments, entitlement, glamour, and the ability to make successful investments.

The intelligence described in the fifth house is distinct from that in the third house. The third house represents the intellect and the capacity for mental activity, and it symbolizes how we learn and grow intellectually, as well as the ways in which we gather and process information. This intelligence helps us to organize our lives, solve personal problems, and move forward.

The intelligence described in the fifth house contributes to the lives of others, especially in terms of creativity and self-expression. People with strong fifth house energies can inspire and uplift others through their artistic talents and playful, joyful nature. For example, a person with strong fifth house energies might be a talented musician who brings joy and inspiration to others through their music. They might also be a great storyteller who can captivate an audience and make them laugh.

The fifth house governs leisure activities, hobbies, and creativity, and it is associated with joy and self-expression. People with strong fifth house energies tend to be playful and enjoy engaging in games and activities that allow them to express themselves and have fun with others. This engagement with others through games and playful activities can contribute to building relationships and creating positive experiences with others.

The fifth house is associated with mating intelligence, in the sense that it governs romance, love affairs, and sexual attraction. The fifth house is associated with the expression of one's creative and playful side, and this can certainly play a role in attracting romantic partners and building relationships. People with strong fifth house energies tend to be charming and confident, and they may use their creative talents to woo and impress potential partners.

The third or fifth houses of astrology can reveal the dating phase of a relationship. The third house is primarily focused on physical attraction and carnal desires, while the fifth house encompasses both emotional and physical bonds.

The intelligence in the fifth house contributes to the life of the romantic partner through the creation of children.

The intelligence described in the fifth house contributes also to the lives of others, through investments in their businesses. People with a strong fifth house are skilled at investing in profitable ventures.

On the other hand, a weak or afflicted fifth house may indicate difficulties in expressing oneself and finding fulfillment in creative pursuits or romantic relationships. The individual may have a lack of confidence in their abilities or have trouble taking risks and pursuing their desires. They may also struggle with negative experiences related to children, hobbies or investments.

The sixth house is located beneath the 7th house, which represents the people and relationships that surround us, including enemies. The sixth house shows our support to others through work and service, including tasks such as household work and caring for others. Depending on the condition of the house, may indicate exploitation by others.

The sixth house in astrology represents financial support given to others, which can take the form of debt. When we borrow money, we commit to repay it and the associated interest, which sustains the lender's life.

Because it supports enemies, the sixth house indicates unfair or illogical criticism, injustice, accusations, conflicts, disputes, lawsuits and so on.

As the seventh house is opposite the first house, which represents the beginning of life, the seventh house can be considered the house of the end of life. Therefore, the sixth house, which is beneath the seventh house, supports the end of life. The sixth house supports the end of life by being associated with various aspects of physical well-being, such as disease, intoxication, poisoning, injuries, accidents, and addictions.

To solve problems arising from the sixth house, we can either seek the support of others, described in the second house, or rely on our own practical intelligence, described in the third house. This support can be either paid or unpaid. Having good personal wealth and/or a support system (second house) can be incredibly helpful to solve problems arising from the sixth house.

Another way to solve problems is through the use of practical intelligence (third house). This involves using logic, common sense, and a hands-on approach to finding solutions. Practical intelligence often involves taking action, experimenting, and learning from experiences. This type of intelligence can be particularly useful in solving real-world problems, as it helps us to see situations from multiple perspectives and find creative solutions.

A weak second house may indicate a lack of personal financial resources or support from others when trying to solve problems. In these cases, we may have to rely on our own intelligence and courage to resolve the situation (third house).

It is important to understand that it may be a part of our life script to face challenges alone, and we should not blame others for not providing support. The natal chart describes the conditions of the life script into which we are born, but it is our response to our fate that shapes our destiny. While astrology can provide valuable insights into our potential life experiences, it is important to remember that we have free will and the ability to make our own choices and decisions. Our choices and actions determine the direction our life takes and shape our destiny.

According to Mark Manson, the author of the bestselling self-help book The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck., happiness comes from solving problems. By overcoming obstacles and discovering solutions, people can experience a feeling of achievement and contentment. This perspective suggests that our level of happiness is closely tied to the sixth, second, and third houses in astrology. The stronger the sixth house is, the more troubles we have. The stronger the second house is, the more wealth and support from others we have to solve problems. The stronger the third house is, the more intelligent we are in solving problems.

From the seventh house, the individual emerges from the private life hemisphere and becomes involved in the public sphere of life.

The seventh house represents partnerships and relationships with others, including business and personal partnerships, as well as marriage. This includes the dynamic and balance of power in these relationships, and how one is perceived by others. The quality of relationships in the seventh house can greatly impact one's personal growth and development. A relationship becomes a marriage when a formal vow is spoken or a child is born. Everything else is romance fifth house.

A strong seventh house may indicate successful and harmonious relationships. This could include strong and supportive partnerships, both romantic and professional, as well as a happy and fulfilling marriage. On the other hand, a weak or afflicted seventh house may indicate challenges in relationships and partnerships. This could manifest as difficulty finding and maintaining fulfilling relationships, conflicts in partnerships, and strained or unhappy marriages. Additionally, a weak seventh house may indicate a fear of commitment or a tendency to attract problematic or unstable partners.

The eighth house is above the seventh house. If the seventh house represents the end of life, then the eighth house represents longevity or life force, sexual power, the ability to create life, and the ability to regenerate and change identity. To have a long life, you may need a strong eighth house.

The eighth house erodes the seventh house, getting resources to you from others without personal effort. That's why the eighth house represents the wealth of your spouse, inheritance, insurance compensation, winnings from lotteries and games, and gains from speculative investments. The eighth house is sometimes referred to as the house of joint resources and is seen as a representation of the resources that come from outside of the individual, rather than those that are earned through personal efforts indicated in eleventh house.

A strong eighth house can indicate a life filled with intense emotions, experiences, and transformations and the ability to go through transformation and rebirth in life. A strong eighth house can indicate a strong sexual energy. People with a strong eighth house may experience financial gain through marriage, inheritance, joint financial ventures, or investments. A weak or afflicted eighth house could indicate a shorter life span, as well as difficulties in undergoing the transformation process. The individual may struggle with change and may have a harder time dealing with the loss of loved ones or with the end of life experiences. They may also struggle with the rebirth process, which is the ability to regenerate, change identity, and live their lives in a new and meaningful way.

The ninth house represents our morality, which refers to principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior. It is often associated with codes of conduct or systems of belief that govern an individual. Everything that shapes our morality is described in the ninth house, including religion, philosophy, higher education, gurus, and parents, traditionally the father.

A strong ninth house can indicate a person who has a broad and optimistic outlook on life, a strong sense of purpose and spiritual beliefs, and is able to gain a deeper understanding of the world through travel, education, and higher learning. They may be well-respected and have a strong influence on others due to their wisdom and understanding. On the other hand, a weak or afflicted ninth house could indicate a person who lacks direction in life and has limited perspectives, struggles to understand the bigger picture, and may struggle to find meaning and purpose in their life. They may also struggle with gaining higher education or experiencing cultural differences.

The tenth house represents our role in society, including our career, recognition, reputation, and status. A strong tenth house can indicate a successful and fulfilling career, along with recognition, honor, and prestige in one's professional life. It also represents the individual's reputation and public standing, as well as their relationship with authority figures such as parents, government, and employers. A strong tenth house can suggest an individual with a strong sense of direction and ambition, and the ability to achieve their goals and aspirations.

On the other hand, a weak or afflicted tenth house can indicate difficulties in achieving one's career goals, a lack of recognition and success, or conflicts with authority figures. It can also suggest a lack of direction and ambition, leading to a lack of fulfillment in one's professional life. Additionally, a weak tenth house can suggest difficulties in maintaining a positive reputation, and can result in a negative public image.

The eleventh house is located in the upper hemisphere, which pertains to an individual's public life. As it gets closer to the first house, which represents the self, the eleventh house signifies what an individual can receive from society. The eleventh house represents the individual's relationship with society and what they gain from it, including income, networks, and social enjoyments such as concerts and outings with friends. It also symbolizes the individual's goals and desires for the future, and their sense of community and belonging.

A strong eleventh house is often indicative of a large network of friends, a large social circle and a good income stream. This person may be able to find new opportunities and gain from them, as well as enjoy material benefits from their network. A strong but afflicted eleventh house may indicate engagement with criminal gangs and income from criminal activities. On the other hand, a weak or afflicted eleventh house could indicate a lack of income and a struggle to connect with others. This person may have difficulty maintaining relationships, feel isolated, and face obstacles in achieving their goals and desires.

The twelfth house is above the first house, which represents the physical self, and erodes it through sleep, dreams, physical weakness, isolation, hospitalization, imprisonment, loss of material and financial resources, and everything that escapes physical reality including extended residence in foreign land and bed pleasures.

A strong twelfth house is generally considered to be an indicator of spiritual growth, high intuition, and an inner connection to the divine. The individual with a strong 12th house may have a strong connection to the spiritual realm and may be highly imaginative and creative. On the other hand, a weak or afflicted twelfth house can indicate challenges in the individual's spiritual growth and connection to the divine.

This is the basic meaning of the houses, according to our interpretation. Other meanings are derived from those listed above.

1.5 Astrology and the Subconscious Mind

The subconscious mind is the part of our mental processing that operates below the level of conscious awareness. It includes automatic processes, such as breathing and heartbeat regulation, as well as deeply ingrained beliefs, habits, and emotions that shape our thoughts and behaviors.

The subconscious mind is often contrasted with the conscious mind, which is responsible for our rational thinking, decision-making, and awareness of our surroundings. While the conscious mind is more immediately accessible to us, the subconscious mind is believed to have a powerful influence on our overall mental and emotional state.

Just as the majority of an iceberg lies hidden beneath the surface of the water, the subconscious mind is largely hidden from our conscious awareness. It is the part of our mind that operates behind the scenes, constantly processing and storing information, making connections, and shaping our thoughts and behaviors in ways we may not always be aware of.

Like the lower part of an iceberg, the subconscious mind is vast and powerful, with a depth and complexity that can be difficult to fully comprehend. It is the source of our deepest emotions, instincts, and beliefs, and it exerts a powerful influence over our daily lives.

Understanding the workings of the subconscious mind can be an important key to personal growth and self-awareness, as it allows us to recognize and work with the underlying patterns and motivations that shape our thoughts and behaviors.

In the last 50 years, athletes have made significant strides in using the power of the subconscious mind to enhance their performance. Many athletes have learned how to tap into the subconscious mind's potential by using visualization techniques, positive affirmations, and other mental training methods.

By harnessing the power of the subconscious mind, athletes can program their minds to perform at their best, even in the face of challenges or setbacks. They can use visualization techniques to mentally rehearse their movements and actions, which helps to build muscle memory and improve their performance. Positive affirmations and other mental training methods can help athletes to build confidence and focus, which are essential for success in sports.

Additionally, many sports psychologists and mental coaches have been instrumental in helping athletes to harness the power of the subconscious mind. They work with athletes to identify limiting beliefs or negative thought patterns that may be holding them back and help them to reprogram their minds for success.

Astrology uses patterns of planets in the sky and their relationships to reveal patterns in the subconscious mind.

Many theories and techniques have been developed over time to help reveal patterns in the subconscious mind. Here is a list:

Hypnotherapy: This is a therapeutic technique that uses hypnosis to put a person in a trance-like state. In this state, the therapist can access the subconscious mind and help the person explore and work through deeply ingrained patterns, beliefs, and emotions.

Dream Analysis: Dreams are believed to be a way that the subconscious mind communicates with the conscious mind. Analyzing dreams can reveal patterns and emotions that may not be
