    Bible Text: Luke 11: 1-4 | Daily Bible Reading: Matthew 1: 1-25

    And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. 2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

    Among all the spiritual disciplines, prayer is the most important, as much as others are crucial as well. It is the fundamental player in the development of our soul and spirit man, especially when it is practiced daily. It transforms us to a childlike state before God. When you listen to children pray, they pray in certainty with a strong belief that God is listening irrespective of how they pray.

    The disciples, on several occasions, had seen our Lord Jesus Christ do some remarkable things, but the most interesting thing is that there was no place recorded in the bible where the disciples asked the master to teach them how to heal or turn water to juice. Only on one occasion, they said to Jesus, "Lord, teach us how to pray, just as
