Why Pray?

Prayer is not a ritual to practice nor the impersonal means of communicating with God. Prayer isn’t Twitter, Facebook, nor email. Instead, prayer is the intimate conversation with your Perfect Father. When you pray, you are conversing with the most powerful and caring Being in the universe.

He is for you. He wants you to develop a deep abiding relationship with HIM. He is not your sugar daddy, but your Creator, Coach, and Cheerleader, along with a multitude of other healthy, ideal fatherly characteristics which only benefit you. He wants you, his unique child to grow up and contribute toward HIS eternal family and kingdom.

You are specifically designed for a purpose greater than your dreams, hopes, and plans. While today you are exercising micro plans to achieve objectives to sustain and thrive in this life, HE is moving history and events toward a culmination of world events in preparation of a new age.

Prayer is simply the means to develop an abiding relationship with an invisible Being. Through prayer, we come to better know HIM and trust HIM. We see answers to our requests. Some of the answers are as we specifically ask. Other answers are sufficiently even better. And yes, there are answers which deny our petition. Yet we learn even these are the best reply for a greater purpose.

The purpose of prayer is more than receive answers. Prayer is one of the best means of sharing life between you and HIM. Prayer allows you to develop a more intimate, abiding relationship with the living God. In the process you will see how an invisible Being becomes alive through the circumstances and challenges you face each day. Like Jesus’ metaphor with Nicodemus, you don’t see the wind blow but do see the impact it makes. Likewise, you will see over time how your prayers impact you and the life of others you include in your prayers.

This booklet simply outlines a few prayers which I wrote in pursuit of developing a more, meaningful relationship with our Triune God. There are thirty-one prayers which you may recycle each month. These are designed to jump start your prayer life. At the end of the day, their purpose is for you to develop a deeper and more personal relationship with HIM who deserves all glory and honor and tribute.
