FOREWORD
Faith is one of the most intriguing issues we must deal with throughout our Christian walk. Faith, said Jesus, can remove mountains (of troubles, distresses, needs, etc.) and make us walk on the waters of a restful and trustful life in God. [1]
Faith is the beginning of a relationship between a loving God and man in need of His grace. There can be no miracles without faith, for the natural things will overshadow the supernatural ones; for without faith it is impossible to please God.
This book emphasizes the kind of unconditional faith that leads to a deep relationship between man and his Creator. In fact, according to the author, to walk with God, is to delight in His waters (…)
and all this only happens by way of faith.
Pastor James Pope is one of those men whose integrity of life and obedience to God, encourages us to go on, believing that the Lord is the same today and always, His principles are unchanging, and His Word remains.
It has been a privilege to know the author closely and to appreciate his genuine faith, faith that withstands the storms of life, and always leads him triumphantly to the other side.
With great character and morality, characteristics with which he also treats the Word of God, the author aims at offended faith, (a subject often hidden among Christians) as one of the greatest hindrances to living in fullness of peace and joy in Christ, as God has promised us, regardless of the circumstances.
Offended faith resents, conceals a certain bitterness, and frustration due to disappointments about the actions of God. He is the God who can do all things, but He is also the Sovereign God, the only One who knows what is best for us and when it is the right time for things to happen, or if they even should happen.
This book can bring deliverance to your mind and resentful heart, taking you to completely surrender to the caring heart and will of God, to be at peace with your past and to believe fully in God’s care for your future. This is the only way to live and achieve a higher level of faith. It has never been so urgent to get rid of all hindrances in order to see the God whom we love and serve do wonders in this world!
The Holy Spirit has already been poured out on the earth and challenges us to become new wineskins (vessels), able to fully live the gospel as it is: SUPERNATURAL.
This is an invitation to leave behind all offenses against God, so we can advance to a mature and permanent faith. I believe this book is a gift for you.

INTRODUCTION
Jesus preached the Word of God and at first many people seemed to fully understand it, but when they disagreed with something He said, or felt offended by Him during difficult moments, that was all that was necessary for them to be taken captive by unbelief, the feeling of helplessness, anger and/or spiritual immaturity.
In this book, we will look at some Biblical episodes that clearly expose these feelings towards Jesus, feelings experienced by those who did not firmly embrace His teachings, but also by those who were closest to Him.
We usually notice the doubts, disapproval, mockery, jealousy, envy and resentment expressed by those who hated Jesus, such as the religious leaders of that time. However, in this book I invite you to look closely at some very dramatic Biblical passages of extreme significance to us; for they show that we may be close to Jesus and still be subject throughout our lives, to many situations that will test our faith.
The point is that every trial requires of us a certain level of faith and acceptance of the Word of God (or even of His temporary silence.) What Jesus calls scandal, which is nothing other than offense, is born when the demand for faith is greater than what we are willing to give. To feel offended by God is to think that He was not fair, that He neglected, or did not care about a certain situation, or that the expectations we had of Him or of His actions were fulfilled unfairly.
Jesus would always do something new or unexpected. He also used unusual methods such as mixing mud with spit and putting it on the eyes of a blind man so that he would be healed. [1] Many of these methods offended the religious leaders, the people and even those who walked closely to Jesus because it challenged them to have an unconditional and strong faith.
The bold words and unusual deeds of Jesus made many unwilling to be near Him,
