There is a message for all to read.
For those who serve the Lord and walk His way.
Also too, there is a message for those who do not know the Lord.
This book is for them all the same.
If you wonder who this God is and what He can do, this book is for you.
The Lord spoke His words, I wrote them down.
You will see how the Lord took the life of just one, making it His glory.
I am just a small one, an ordinary one, though I found the Lord,
and He has made me mighty and great.
I am worthy to write this book.
I am a child of God, a daughter of the King.
With that, I run His road to Galilee.
I seek His face each night I run.
He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen.
I have not been rebellious, I have not turned away.
My words come from an upright heart.
My lips sincerely speak what I know.
In all my ways, I submit to the Lord.
He orders my every step.
He has brought me here to the writing of this book.
Read the words of the Lord, messages for all.
My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside. I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.

I run in the path of your commands, for you have broadened my understanding.

CHAPTER 1
MY PURPOSED PATH
Decades Ago
125130.pngYears ago, You brought me here to this road, here in this town.
I stood on its ground, though I did not know.
My family and I took to the highway, many a mile to go.
We journeyed in the night, long years ago.
Though soon stopped in the middle of nowhere, broken down on a darkened road.
This was the night of the Lord’s doing, though I would not know of this divine plan until decades later.
Soon to be rescued, yet still stranded, here in this town, this town I did not know.
Someone told me the name of this place, though I cared not to remember.
The journey now ending, this trip never meant to be.
For the Lord knew it would end here on this road in a place planned just for me.
Decades later, He would reveal this purposeful path I now run.
Life continued on, I grew, married, and had children.
I never again thought about that dark, quiet night stranded in the middle of nowhere in a town I did not know.
Yet again my steps were ordered, here once more did I arrive.
This town now my home and here now I still remain.
I serve the Lord, and with this, my eyes have opened to this connection from decades ago.
This town I live was the very town You brought me to long years ago.
Now decades later, here once again on a dark, quiet road, I run only a few short miles from where I once stood so long ago.
You knew this was the road I was to run.
It is the Lord who purposes my every step as I travel this road to Galilee.

125142.pngYou knew I was to be walking and not running, no sound of feet moving along.
You knew that as I set out this night, You would cause my steps to be
ever so quiet, and not a sound they would make.
You ordered the night air to be ever so still, not even the faintest whisper of a breeze so gentle.
For You knew that on this night You would send Your glory to fall upon my face.
There would be no mistaking this sound of violent rushing wind,
suddenly to come.
You ordered the stillness, Your Presence known and no denying
would there be.
I know, and I remember that night.
It will not fade from my heart.
The night You ordered the quiet and made Your Presence known.

125149.pngOn that dark and quiet night, there were no high seas.
There were no violent winds.
No ships tossed about with sails thrashing tattered and torn.
No angry squalls raged about.
On that dark and quiet night, there were no imposing birds of prey,
flying low and near with great and mighty wings.
There are no birds of which I know a sound could come—maybe, yes,
a pterodactyl with a span so great, whipping through the air with
unimagined velocity.
For these are the only sounds it could have been, yet this is not possible,
for you see, I walk on dry land in modern age.
The sound I heard, its origin nothing less than that of supernatural.
It was a sound from above that raged with a glorious might.
It came from nowhere, immediately upon my face, the sound of a violent rushing wind, entering the night so still.
It left a memory so lucid, unquestionable and undeniable,
that of a vivid revelation.
This came from the supernatural God whom I so faithfully serve.
This is the one and only explanation.
Yet God does not need an explanation, He does as He pleases.
On that dark and quiet night, He chose to reveal His Presence.
It remains true, whether you believe or not.
It does not matter what you might ponder, my pen needs not to persuade.
The Lord chose me on that dark and quiet night I shall always remember.

125154.pngYou were here waiting for me at the highest point.
How could this not be significant?
Divinely purposed?
For in days gone by, this is where praises were offered, sacrifices made, offerings brought to the highest hill.
Here waiting for me, You knew I would arrive.
With every step along the way, knowing each one would lead to You,
to this high place and so too the darkest.
For I would not have arrived here on this night had I not traveled in a valley dark.
Your thoughts made known, Your perfect planning grand.
You went before me, knowing I would arrive at this perfect place,
receiving now the anointing of Your Holy Spirit.
Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from Heaven.
These words I had not seen, these words I had not read, yet here they were in full view, experiencing each one as penned long ago, this great and mighty act of my God.

125159.pngOn that still and quiet night, the sounding rush revealed, I ponder to think the reason why the Lord presented this to me.
What was the reason?
Was it an anointing for that which He was planning?
Months later, the Lord began to speak and open my ears, giving me words to pen.
This is what the Lord was planning.
