He Knows My Name

He knows my name.

He knows my shame.

He knows my blame.

He knows my game.

Yet He still came,

But not for fame,

And not to complain,

And not to cause pain.

He came to reclaim.

He came to proclaim.

He came to exclaim.

He knows my name.

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

First, and foremost, I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for using me to spread the Gospel in such creative ways. I continue to stand in awe, Lord, of how much You love me.

My husband, Timothy Jenkins, who has been my biggest cheerleader. Your words of encouragement and affirmation were what I needed to get me motivated to continue to write and share my poetry.

Pastor Scott Thomas, who from day one believed in my gift and told me that I must share my poems of inspiration with others. Thanks for reminding me of Proverbs 18:16.

The Women’s Ministry at Strong Tower Christian Church, and our Servant-Leader, Pastor Angela Gerald. You ladies allowed me to share my poems with you even before I dreamed of publishing them.

    INTRODUCTION

Dreams are meant to be discovered, pursued, and, of course, realized. As you read He Knows My Name, allow God to whisper sweet somethings into your heart again. He longs to talk to you and has been calling your name for quite some time now. He wants to breathe life into you again, so get ready to inhale.

God desperately wants to give you the desires of your heart, so give Him permission to speak into your life as you read and absorb every word written in each poem. Meditate on the biblical references that follow each poem; they will draw you even closer to your heavenly Father as He whispers to you from His Word.

Each word and thought captured in these poetic treasures has been inspired by the Holy Spirit. The reflection pages are there for you to write down what God is whispering to you. Find a quiet place to relax before reading each poem. I encourage you to read each poem and scripture reference out loud, slowly.

The world is waiting for you to blossom, so go forth with great assurance, proclaiming with great excitement, He knows my name. Through these writings, God will tenderly and softly whisper to you (just like He whispered to me), but you must be willing to hear His still, small voice.
